I'm sorry but I'm against this. Alot of this stuff (rehearsals, conversations, etc.) wasn't meant to be shared w the general public. Most master reels out there got out there because they were stolen or illegally copied and distributed. I know these "behind the scenes" glimpses are highly valued but there's alot of pain and feelings of hurt and betrayal that go along with them. Please be sensitive to that.

There's quite a bit of "behind the scenes glimpses" that have been captured besides master reels... have you seen a lot of the stuff that's been going around for years?

Of course it violates privacy, but nothing more than a limo conversation or any candid pics.

Do others feel this way too? By all means, delete this whole dealio if it's too insensitive to people.

THANKS for posting all these great goodies! I have many master reels myself so I really have to check if any you've posted are missing in my personal collection.
Regarding the sensitive or insensitive kind of posting master reels....well, I don't mind to see them posted on the web or on any websites or message boards. When we are VERY honest and would take a look at the stuff that are posted on several private websites about Stevie or are related to Stevie then ALL websites should be closed. BECAUSE...for example the lyrics: they are written by Stevie and she ownes the copyrights (I guess), so if you're very strictly you wouldn't have the right to post them on your private website because it's NOT authorized by Stevie herself. So we could go on with ALOT of other stuff as her drawings, YouTube videos etc. Nothing of this stuff is authorized by Stevie! So..WHERE want you start with what is allowed to post and what not?? I think it's quite difficult to find the right balance. This is my opinion about all this. Thanks for listening.

I agree that this is a sensitive issue but I don't think any of us take it lightly and I do feel guilty about it. I guess we all have our own definitions of how it should be distributed. All I know is that I'm really grateful that you're all willing to share things like this. I really appreciate it and truly treasure it and I am completely aware of how special these behind the scenes things are.

At least they're getting shared amongst fans of Stevie and Fleetwood Mac, therefore we can appreciate the hard-work and effort that when into making these. Of course it's probably a raw issue to Stevie, but I think all of us consider this to be a privilege and understand the importance of these reels.

Didn't someone purchase these 'master reels' from Modern?? But Stevie or her management didn't purchase them either???----please someone correct me if I'm wrong....I think there interesting to hear etc. Cause Stevie wouldn't ever release them.....which is sad.....but thats IMO.....to each his /her own.....

They were contacted and offered the tapes, and they passed on them. The sellers were told by her managemennt that she has her own copies.

I can sleep at night and feel not even a slight amount of guilt about listening/having the unreleased stuff. Just like all the live bootlegs, the master reels share a similar classification. For some hardcore fans they hold a particular value, but for most others, they are just sh*t! As long as no one is profiting from them, I see no reason why there should be any feelings of guilt. I understand that some artists may feel frustrated over their lack of control of things they never intended to release (sometimes very unflattering moments), but's not like Stevie is losing profits from unreleased material.
