Okay, Photobucket is the best I can do for part 5 ... here's hoping they'll leave the others alone!

Ok, this made me cry now, Stevie saying:

"I've never been to Lindsey's house, and I probably never will go to Lindsey's house,Lindsey's been here once...maybe down the line in 10 or 15 years when Lindsey and I are 75 we'll be friends again, when Fleetwood Mac is a distance memory..."

That made me sad...Fleetwood Mac only a distance memory...

...and THIS made me happy again, John and Mick:

Mick: "Well, hey, we're still talking about it, it's ok, I mean, we're in our 60s...haha"
John: "And we ain't finished yet! hehe"

Love them!

Great doc! I agree with Dani that the ladylike comment was priceless!

Anybody else think it was really funny and cute that Stevie was holding and gesturing with a fan?

hahaha...I thought it was cute too. It might be because she gets nervous and needs something to do with her hands...much the same way she plays with the ribbons and stuff on her mic stand.

I was impressed Stevie remembered the exact kind - a Leslie organ speaker. It did sound like she was a bit awed by what he did.

She went on to say something after that about ....After his kids are older, after they are grown and gone. I thought that was a little strange.

Basically what I took away from this Doc is that they are lying, they have been lying FOREVER. They can't tell you the really real story for whatever reason. Sorry, by "they" I mean Stevie and Lindsey. So they just keep regurgiatating the same ole stories. She lashes out and he sits there like a lump of coal, taking the higher road? Eh whatever. I think he was a real pain in the ass when they were younger, listen to how Ken Calliatt talks about him, I don't think Lindsey was a particularly fun guy to be around. Stevie alluded to it last night with the comment about their relationship becoming too dark, too obsessive. She needed air and light..etc.

Bottom line for me is they were madly in love, obsessed with each other but it was not a healthy relationship and so it ended. I think they never got over each other, he managed to break away from the group as a whole and carve out some semblance of a normal life, found a woman who could tolerate/manage him, have three beautiful children....and Stevie sees the man she'd always hoped he would become, with another woman, and personally I think it pisses her off. Remember her "Oh Stevie you made a mistake comment?" Whatev's.

I'm just tired of the media lumping the Stevie and Lindsey soap opera saga, into every doc done about the band. I wanted to hear more about John, lets see Julie and Molly, let's see Lynn and the twins. How is Mick's daughter doing after the near drowning. But I suppose that is really not "about" Fleetwood Mac. So we are left with endless tales of the same sad story. One more gripe before I crawl back into my hole. It's great how they can get up there and make fun of Lindsey for his bathroom antics and endless takes....we all know he is a crazy genius. Roll your eyes and say take three hundred, but if it weren't for that musical genius, most of us would never have heard of FM at least on this side of the pond.

Sorry kids I'm grumpy today.

I thought that was strange too. As if... part of the reason she hasn't visited is because his kids are there (which strikes me as GOOD reason to visit).

I was actually very surprised by the comment just because, where I come from at least, when you say something like it it suggests that you might be sort of waiting in the wings for something to happen...like once his kids are grown and out of the house and his responsibility their direct care ends, there will be an opportunity for their relationship to change. My question is, how exactly does she expect the relationship to change?

Well, he and she had a chance with BN and it went over like a lead balloon FM was selling okay, but nothing earth shattering in America (hence the FM pays the light bills comment). Butm, the five made the supernova. It was a joint effort

Granted, La Nicks broke out as the solo star, etc. But, FM was always the combination of the members - at least to me.

I know and they must have known it too, otherwise they wouldn't have indulged him and allowed him (and the bathroom oohs) to create the most critically acclaimed album the band has ever generated, even if it's not the most popular.

I wonder if it's the Little Lies video footage, or maybe the Edge of 17 video...can't think what else it could be.

I am unsure that is the correct way to look at it. I just cannot see CM taking that point of view given her comments in the Tusk doc about her songs and LB. I also think John did not have that point of view because it was mentioned back then that John took offense (or similar language) at LB's telling John how to play (or something like that). I think La Nicks trusted LB with her songs because up until Tusk, he had made them to her liking. I also think she liked the final product of her songs on Tusk and thereafter until SYW, and even then, she liked some of them. So, I think that rather than them conceding they would be nothing without LB, I think they started Tusk with the expectation of another mainstream album. Then, LB went in another direction, which ultimately lead to Tusk and its quirky sounds not selling very well in terms of how much and long it cost to make it coupled with the comparative lack of sales. So, I think they saw Tusk somewhat as a betrayal of their trust at the time. In hindsight, I think they now see his point. But, I just do not think the other four ever thought that LB was the be all and end all of FM and its sole vehicle to popularity. It was the five (then) that put FM on the mega stardom map.

Note - LB was a creative genius then. But, he had some great material to begin with and four other musicians that significantly added to the pot
