I got this from a post to a list I belong to:
"The week of April 14th, the band will be featured daily on NBCs weekday morning show "Today". On April 18th, the band will perform on "Today" and will be profiled on NBCs news magazine "Dateline". This is from a link to "Daily Music News" I can't take off the entire week, so I'll have to figure out how to program my VCR. As for April 18th, if this info is true, they'll be on "Today" in the morning and "Dateline" in the evening. A great day for Mac fans, indeed! Anyone going to the Buffalo show? Sharon |

Well, unfortunately unless we know the exact time Fleetwood Mac will be on Today every day, you probably won't be able to keep each thing because Today is three hours long I think. Unless you want to use three tapes and have 5 entire episodes which you have to search through. This really upsets me because Today is on SO early in the morning, so I too will be taping it each day, but I will be taping over it each day too, so I won't be able to keep the segments
. But, at least I'll get to see them and they are being promoted VERY well on NBC.

I've been grumbling about the same thing, Justin... that unless we get word on exactly what time FM will be appearing each day (which is HIGHLY unlikely to happen), we'll have no choice but to tape all three hours, all five days.
Which basically means having to buy a few blank tapes, just for these appearances alone. Two things I've thought of though... we can all pretty safely skip the first 45 minutes of each broadcast, as that's generally devoted to "hard news." I'd be a little apprehensive about skipping the entire first hour, just on the off-chance that they might interview them within the last 15 minutes. But even that seems unlikely. The second thing, is that one could watch their tape of the broadcast sometime later in the day, and if the band appears half way thru Hour 2, for example, then just tape over the rest of the broadcast. Without prior knowledge of the exact time of their appearances, these seem to be the best options. Johnny Stew

Yeah, I agree Johnny Stew, I've been taping "Today" a lot lately (like Faith Hill due to Bekka being on there with her etc.) and the "entertainment stuff is pretty much always at the very end or at least the last half hour of the shows (8:30-9:00 EST). If you've got a 4 head VCR then scanning through it all to find the Mac parts won't be that tough anyways. I'll probably get five three hour tapes (T-180's) and tape them all (unless it's those "split day" deals where it goes from 7-9 and then continues from 10-11 EST in which case I guess I'll have to use ten 2 hour tapes (T-120's)!), find the segments and then put them on my "master" tape which I realize adds a generation on, but as long as you don't go much beyond, that, it still looks quite good given you tape on SP speed for best audio recordings which I'm sure we all agree that we want that.
