Believe me, it's true.

While I enjoy no longer being a kid, there are things that you just can't get back once you gotten to adulthood.

i don't think i could have put this any better myself. Dani, I feel the exact same way. It's like you're a 24+ year old in a 17 year oldsters body, and it's the truth that nobody your own age can appreciate it.

At least you've been able to get to somewhat excercise your liking of older men. I tried to get a 19 year old, and he thought I was too young for him. Then I just had a 19 year old pokemanz lover call me immature...that I laughed about.

I, however have mixed feelings about the casual and long term thing. I wouldn't mind being in a casual relationship that I know isn't going to last - I hate when teenagers think that their relationship will last '4evrrrrr'. It's like...get real. But I prefer, and would rather a long term. But you can't really expect it. Especially your senior year of high school, when you're probably going 2.5 hrs away to college (hello beautiful Hamden, CT).

I'm just most dissaponted that I'm probably going to go to prom stag again this year, or going with a friend...either a girl or a guy as I view like a little brother...I would have liked to have a legit date to appreciate my dreamdress. (it's not til May, but I don't get out much lol). I'm not taking back what I said before, but sometimes i feel abnormal as I'm the only 17 year old I know that hasn't had a relationship...be it short or long term....the only thing tha relatively makes me feel better is that I'm in the top 12% of my class

What boy in their right mind wouldn't want to date you? You're so nice, and you like Fleetwood Mac. What's not to love?

It is always good to hear that someone gets it.

Luckily, I spend most of my time with my older friends. I fit into the 23-30 crowd pretty nicely, so its a big break from the daily high school drama that I dislike so much. Whatever. I have my ways to deal, and they are pretty successful thus far

Is being a widower a good answer?

Debbie's bench in your signature is beautiful!

We wanted to do something similar for my dad, but more like a black onyx stone you could sit on instead of a bench

My wife had just turned 18 when we met... (nearly 11 years ago)

I guess it depends on your definition of teenager

I went to a Blondie concert instead of my prom. I weighed it up and that just seemed like the more valuable life experience.

That's awesome, well not the part about you forgetting, but Pat singing directly to you, incredible. I might have done exactly the same if it had happened to me!

her co-workers payed for it.

At first they thought of raising money to purchase a single tree (To be planted on the hospital grounds) in her name - but they raised so much that they purchased the bench, the plaque & 3 trees.

So in the future I will have somewhere to go sit in the shade and reflect...

Yeah, i think it's cool when that can happen. And I'd love to end up in the same situation as your wife - meet my husband young

what I meant was that the high school kids expect stuff to last, and if it doesn't, then they're devistated about it. A high school relationship gone wrong is nothing to be devistated about- upset is ok, bur not devistated. We all hve plenty of time to meet someone else. It's not that the relationships can't last, it's just that they usually don't.

Reminds me of a line from "Top Gun" - - -

RIGHT up to the part where
you got killed."
