Default Stevie singing "At Last"

I saw a video of Stevie singing Etta Jame's "At Last" on Youtube. Does anyone know if this song is available on a CD commercially? Or where I can get it? I love the song, and I love the way Stevie sang it....

It's on the Stormy Weather CD, I think you could probably buy it off Amazon or something?

I am addicted to her version of it. Her voice is unbelievably suited to that genre of music, and the power and passion in her voice is spinetingling.

Among all the other lauded female singers on that album, Stevie's performance is definately one of the stand outs. She picked the right song and completed nailed it. The audience reaction after she finished the song is much more enthusiastic and louder than that of other artists performances.

Stevie, especially early in her career, sometimes isn'tt given her just due (by critics and other naysayers) for being a great singer. This was partly her fault because the quality of her performances were/can be very inconsistent. Despite the fact that age has limited her range, which happens to all singers, her voice has gained strength and control.

I love that, with "At Last" she showed the audience and the other singers that she is a force to be reckoned with!

She sounded great up until the Enchanted tour. After that, it all seemed to go downhill, with the exception of the Call On Me For Magic demo from '99 (2000?). Not that she still couldn't sing a good song from time to time; but I was watching videos from Woodstock '98 and I was like,

I couldn't believe how well she was hitting some of those notes and taking the kind of risks she did. Live, yet! Take Garbo, for example. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkDkGnrSn3E

Interesting. Just a brief explanation, the Stormy Weather CD was never sold by AT&T, it was just mailed out to loyal customers. Therefore it was not "commercially available" in the first place.

From the NicksFix:

The Stormy Weather concert was promoted by Don Henley to benefit the Walden Woods project and the Thoreau Institute at Walden Pond. Stevie performes one song on the CD, At Last. There has been a lot of anticipation over the release of the live CD. The CD was just released in February 99 as a promotional gift to users of AT&T Personal Network (it has not yet been seen available elsewhere). Some people have even received it without being a member.

Letter that accompanied the CD:

Dear Kathy Watkins:

You call from your home. You call from the side of the road. You e-mail friends and family. Let's face it, when you're better connected you can do so much more.

That's why I'd like to introduce you to the AT&T Personal Network. It gives you the freedom to communicate however you want. With a premier level of service.

You can pick up any phone, anytime you need to for just 10c a minute. Whether it's your home phone or a pay phone. You can count on one personal service number. One low rate on all your calls. One simple bill. And you'll earn rewards every time you use your network.

Your network also includes another way to better connect yourself with the world around you. A fast, connection to the Internet with AT&T. The software that gets you started is on the enclosed CD.

All for just $19.90 a month.

And to celebrate the debut of the AT&T Personal Network, the CD also includes a live benefit concert for the Walden Woods Project and the Thoreau Institute. It features some of today's most accomplished female artists. So be sure to give it a listen.

Get your own network. For details, see our brochure. Then call 1 800 4ATT NOW, ext. 64875.

Sincerely,

John Moodey
AT&T Personal Network Director

The back of the letter details AT&T General Information, Wireless Services, and Minute Rewards. It also contains the following sentence at the top, explaining why Kathy was one of the lucky ones to receive this CD :
You were selected for this offer because information in your consumer credit report indicates that you meet AT&Ts requirements for the offer.

I appreciate your intelligent reply and the eloquent editing of my post.
