Mick Interview - New Album Planned!

[OldTimer]

....A new album for the Mick Fleetwood Blues Band, that is.

Do you plan to make a studio record with the blues band?

Absolutely. Rick and I have spoken about it. It will be something that we'll have a lot of fun doing. I have aspirations of joining forces with some great people who could come and play as guests -- some known and some unknown.

That last sentence is intriguing as hell!!!

Revelations:

1. Lindsey had been working on a double solo album, which he split into the two parts Under The Skin and Gift of Screws, thus delaying Fleetwood Mac touring.

2. The new Blues Band album will be a studio album! BUT WHY ISN'T IT AN ISLAND RUMOURS BAND album? I'm so confused....

Favorite Mick-isms:

"alive and well"
"in truth"

Dear True Faith, I wonder if, in Mick's head, "Island Rumours" and "Blues" are now pretty much the same thing? Just a thought. Best always, Madelow.

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am waiting for this on the edge of my seat!!!!!!!!!

That whole, "some known and some unknown" is very intriguing to me also.

As a side note, that will be the last time you'll be able to read a Mac related article in Performing Songwriter. They've closed down.
