From Product Shop NYC
http://productshopnyc.com/htdocs/200...t_at_tick.html What happened on Monday with Springsteen fans is not an isolated incident (on 57th Street). In fact, Ticketmaster still pushes people towards TicketsNow for a plethora of shows that are not sold out, where tickets are priced at three or four or five or six or more times the original face value. As a simple test, I tried getting floor tickets to Fleetwood Mac at the Izod Center. I was immediately told no tickets were available but redirected to TicketsNow, where I was shown a wide range of tickets from floor seats to nose-bleeds, all costing at least twice as much as face value. I then went back to the original site and typed in any tickets, in which case excellent seats in the 100s came up! Try it for yourself here. So why is Ticketmaster turning people towards TicketsNow for shows that are NOT sold out and still have plenty of available tickets? Who is really profiting from this? A federal investigation is now being threatened against Ticketmaster, which could stop their potential merger deals with Live Nation and AEG. |

They actually had some reporter's blog where he mentioned ticketmaster and the senator who was taking them on. And I commented about my search for FM tickets on there.
Every little bit helps. Aside from the merger, they are absolutely running their own scalping ring here. And I definitely mentioned MSG, too. If I ask for loge or floor seats, NOTHING comes up on ticketmaster. There are almost 1000 tickets on ticketsnow, and have been even before the show was officially on sale. What's the point of public sales unless you truly don't care where you sit (which, I'll admit--for some concerts, I don't) or you have money to burn. |

Amen! I wish more artists cared as much as Bruce did that their fans are getting ripped off. But then again, the CEO of TM manages many of them now that Azoff is CEO... I know he manages Lindsey now, too. Does he manage the rest of Fleetwood Mac as well?

They are all with the new Frontline - the Azoff/Kauffman company.

He does manager Fleetwood Mac - and Stevie is managed solo by Howard Kaufman, who is Azoff's partner in Front Line... now owned by Ticketmaster.
