Stevie Demos (looking for)

isitandiwait · #1 01-29-2009, 04:12 PM

Hello, I am new to The Ledge. I found the site looking for 'Blue Water' and the demo was here to download and went exploring and found all the other great downloads still listed...the Gypsy (Master Reels, 26 tracks) , Outside the Rain (Master Reels), Bella Donna Master Reels (Disc 1), Bella Donna Master Reels (Disc 2) , Goodbye Baby, Gypsy, etc from Say You Will tour (Soundboard recordings) . I think I actually prefer most of the demo recording to the album releases. I have the official releases and officially released demos like on the Rumours and Tusk two disc sets and the Enchanted boxset, but I had never even heard of the 'Mirror, Mirror' album until I read stuff on here. I love the demo version of 'Running Through The Garden', I saw it on here but the link is now dead, I've just heard it on YouTube, but YouTube doesn't play well for me and things have a habit of vanishing. I was wondering if anyone had anything they would care to share? or knows of anywhere to find the demos?
Many thanks.

Hi and welcome to the Ledge! I'm Rhiya

Do you have a link to the video or an era? I have a Rock a Little and Street Angels demos/comps. that I can post in a bit. I've found SYW demos before, but the links were all dead. :/

Hello Pat

Hello Rhiya

Thanks for telling me about the archives, I missed that. I thought there were only two Stevie pages. I am looking through all the messages that may have links to demos and I've found loads of stuff including 'Running Through The Garden' from the Mirror Mirror/Rock A little era I asked about, but I've now found other stuff I didn't know about like 'Forest Of The Black Roses', I've heard but do not have, Cecilia and other stuff all with dead links, but I'll keep searching. Thanks for the reply and the warm welcome.

Welcome to the Ledge! Glad you like it here. I've posted some download links (demos) at my site:

(click on the 'Song of the Week' tab)

One of the Mirror Mirror versions (#3) was posted today, all the links are still active though.

Have fun exploring the ledge, there are a lot of goodies!

Hello everyone, I've found it really addictive already. Searching for stuff, I think I've found everything I was curious about. When Igot the Rumours and Tusk 2cd sets with demos I hoped all the other FM and Stevie albums wold get the same releases, but I think I've got that from this site now.
