From today's Austin American-Statesman (an article about Lloyd Maines, Natalie's dad)...
"...Besides, he'll have his time in the New York spotlight this Sunday when he backs the Chicks on 'Landslide,' the Stevie Nicks cover, at the Grammys. He might even make it up to the podium for an acceptance speech, as 'Home,' the record he co-produced with Natalie and bandmates Martie Maguire and Emily Robison, is up for the prestigious Album of the Year award." Wow...that's great! Maybe FM will introduce them, or better yet make a guest appearance on the song

I think Stevie should sing with them...add some depth to the perfromance..as much as i love Natalie's voice...what they did with Landslide is so glossed over,it just lacks any emotion...and if i hear it one more time on the radio i am gonna hurl...

So today I heard the Chicks version of Landslide for about, oh, the eighty-second time this week and I began to wonder - how do the royalties work for cover songs? How much $$ does Stevie get everytime that song is played? Anybody know?
Between that and the tour, she should really be raking in the cash this year. (And if you throw in $1100 meet and greets... )Mike B.
