I was hoping to get some advice from some fans that seem to know their stuff on getting great seats! I have been checking Ticketmaster all the time and all I'm getting are seats that are SO far away from the stage. I'd really like to get seats on the floor, close the stage (which I know is hard to do). I've always had success with Lindsey and Stevie but never FM. What should I do to get good seats?
Would you suggest waiting until the last minute? Should I buy elsewhere (which I don't really care to do but at this point, I feel like getting them at TM is a dead end). Do you think the price of tickets with the economy where it is will make getting good seats easier in some way? Any advice I'd appreciate since I just seem to be having no luck at all! |

It's a waiting game that involves a lot of patience and persistence.
There is total junk out there now. Very rarely, I've been semi-lucky on the first day, but that doesn't seem to be happening at all with this tour. I expect it will be semi-last minute, like the last tour (and, yes, I bought through ticketmaster for regular price). |

Well this will probably drive you crazy, but on the SYW tour i waited til day of for 2 shows....and checked ticketmaster allllll day. One show i got third row, and the other, i got first row...2 tickets each. Its very stressful, but well worth the wait i think.
This time I used my rich uncle to call into his AMEX concierge for his black card, and they tried for days, til they got us 4 floor tickets in the 13th row on the left side! ![]() |

As hard as it is to do, WAIT. First of all, these shows will not be sell-outs, the economy is too bad for that. Secondly: in my experience, the best seats come up just a few days before the show. Good luck!

Ticketmaster is not the best option NOW.
It's just fine later on. If you have the patience and persistence to wait and keep trying. But, I will stay home before encouraging them to screw their most devoted fans by buying All Access or whatever that thing is called. Even if I could afford it (which I can't--when there is a choice between one FM concert with rehashed material and my mortgage, the mortgage wins). |

If you dont want to wait I found this site http://www.stubsearch.com that had tickets for a decent price. They had 3rd row floor for Pittsburgh for 265 each and if you use the code save5 you can save $5 off shipping. It seems like the broker sites have really dropped their prices already. Maybe they realized the demand wasnt that high. I used ticketsnow last year when Bon Jovi came to Mellon Arena and got Igloo Seats for $52 each a couple days before the show. If I would have gone on Ticketmaster I would have paid around $150 for each seat so that is something to think about. I have gotten a lot of tickets from the broker sites super cheap right before the show.

1. Become close w one of the band members.
2. Agree to interview the band pre/post the show. 3. Have a fling (and get them to fall in love w you) w someone in upper management at their Mgmt. Firm. 4. All of the Above. Sorry. Couldn't resist.

That's certainly a bonus, especially this early on. I usually have to wait for singles. Have you used them before and did everything go smoothly, if you did? Michele

So my boyfriend just surprised me with part of my Christmas gift - tickets to the Toronto show!
He got them from Ticketmaster today right after they went on sale (had I known he was going to do this, I would've told him to WAIT), but he ended up with pretty good seats anyway - not floor, but the next section up off the floor, right beside the stage. Not too shabby. We will check Ticketmaster and the box office the day of to see if we can get at least 3rd row, but even if we don't, I'm perfectly happy with these seats.

For the SYW tour, I went through Ticketmaster for 3 Bay Area shows and got something like the 15th row floor, 21st row floor, and 10th row floor. I did the computer thing right when they went on sale, and I may have had my roommate, friends, and/or boyfriend doing the same. It would be too hard for me to wait until the day of the show, though I may do both and just use the better tickets.
If I remember correctly, I tried going to Fleetwood Mac fan club route (which I think is sort of the same thing as the VIP mode this time around) and got really ticked off because I paid whatever the price was to join but couldn't get any decent tickets. For Lindsey's show in SF on the GOS tour, I went through www.ticketstub.com. I bought tickets for UNDER face value, for the 5th row, slightly off of dead center. O bought them 4 or 5 days before the show. It was unbelievable. But I think that was because the concert hadn't sold out. I looked for other tickets last week for the Pretenders and Amos Lee and all the prices were above face value. For the Dance tour, I won 5th row seats! That was the best Good luck to everyone. And just remember that even if you don't get front row, there will be a tour companion DVD to make you feel like you were closer than you actually were. Kevin |
