Petty may tour Europe next Summer.

[D.W-Suite]

Hey, this may have already have been posted here but anyway, in light of recent tour announcements, it's looking unlikely that I'll get to see FM this summer

So now all I have to keep me looking forward to next summer is the possibility of Tom Petty calling over here instead.

Here's what he said when he was asked about possibly touring outside America in the future:

''There are plans at the moment. We’re considering a full-scale
European tour next summer. Nothing has been finalized, but we want to
do it because finally we feel like we have the time to do it and there’s
nothing breathing down our necks. Usually, by the time we’ve finished a
North American tour, we have to start recording. And, honestly, I just don’t
like to stay on the road the whole year, which is the main reason we’ve
taken so long in getting back to doing a proper European tour. But I really
do want to get over there to let them hear this group. It’s sounding so
good that I feel guilty if I don’t take it out and appear live with the band.''

Wow, that's awesome news, thanks for posting. I think it's been about 10 years since I last saw him in the UK. I'm excited about this, if it happens. Plus I know Petty won't rip us off with ticket prices.
