Default favourite version of lady from the mountains

we have many versions, but which eras is the best?

we have the demos from tusk, bella donna, and rock a little...

my vote definately goes for the rock a little demos for lady from the mountain, there so hauntingly beautiful

My favorite is the one from Rock a Little.

But I'm also fond of the ones done in the late 1970s because the keyboard Stevie is using -- the Yamaha CP30 -- is the same board Christine used on the Tusk tour & album.
(In fact, it undoubtedly really IS the same board -- Stevie probably used it on a day when Chris didn't need it at the Village Recorder.)

Is this AKA Sorcerer? If so there is a version with Lindsey on it that I thought was from Buckingham/Nicks era? Am I wrong?

My favorite is also from the RAL era. It's my favorite song of all time.

Sorcerer and Lady From the Mountain aren't the same songs.

Love the RAL version. I'm thinking it was actually one of the first demos I ever heard, and it still never gets old.

The RAL version is my fave, but I think everyone knows I was going to say that anyway. I have the two that are floating around, one labeled 'Rock A Little Demo' and the other labeled 'Rock A Little Outtake'. I can't decide which one I like better, maybe the demo, I guess.
But, the outtake version has a few of those slightly-losing-control-flip-out vocals that I love from that period. It sounds like she really means it! Especially the part where she kind of makes up lyrics midway:

"...buuuurning!
(unintelligible) yearning
burning
burning out!!
Ho! Did you burn it out?
Whoah how long did it take for you to burn it out?
(unintelligible) go without it?
Whoaaah (unintelligible) talk to me about it!
go without...
someone said tonight
someone said she said tonight
tonight..."

"...buuuurning!
(hopefully) yearning
burning
burning out!!
Ho! Did you burn it out?
Whoah how long did it take for you to burn it out?
(till then she'll) go without it?
Whoaaah (well you don't) talk to me about it!
go without it...
someone said tonight
someone said she said tonight
tonight..."

luv

I think I love all versions of this song....unfortunately, having the love for the demos/outtakes/alternates...if it was ever recorded offically I probably won't like it.....it always seems the better versions are the ones NOT released...it loses some of that magic....ex: Smile At You SYW version.....it will not ever compare to the Mirage angry version outtake.....at least not IMO that is......but to those that love the SYW version....thats ok.......its all good really....we love what we love no harm no foul....
