Everyday should have gone first. Uninspired lyrics. Constipated chorus. Passionless material that doesn't play to any of her vocal strengths. Worst Stevie Single Ever.

Agree. It could have been a hit for a different artist. I bet this song floated around Hollywood for a while. Wonder who else it was offered to and who turned it down?

This is ridiculous. Its only love should have not have gone this early, there are song that should go WAAAAAAAAAAAY before that one. (the vocal is superb. I know its not her song, but who cares. i like afew of her songs she does that are not written by her. and yes, Everyday is one of them. BUT!! I think people are letting their frenzied Everyday bashing cloud their judgment against the REAL enemy... BombayFREEKINSaphire. Clearly there are 2 camps. The people who like everyday, and the people who believe it's come from a distant planet to DESTROY US ALL! and its another close race, so instead of having YET-ANOTHER everyday v.s. the world tie-breaking stale mate, oh i mean face off. We should all channel our crazed mouse clickin hate to...... BOMBAY-the sea never changes...we've heard it before.....fashing colors...we've heard it before...Macy Gray screeching along...they left out the cool extra verse from the demo and did not include it in the album-SAPHIRE! Then we can all let Trouble in Shangri la and Planets of the Universe battle it out to the Finnish! Except for that one sad-but continuous vote for sorcerer. ahaha. whoever that is...... I admire your conviction. NOW, BOMBAYSAPHIRE BEGONE!

yeah, but Stevie played keyboards on that track.
and if you turn it up really loud and it is the only sound that you hear, it is pretty cool.

THIS is another of her songs where I really enjoy the demo much better than the version on the album.

I like those lyrics and the fact that they are more concrete than she usually is. Burning and side of the road brings images of a terrible car crash to mind and that is a more brutal vision than Stevie usually gives us. I think it grasps the feeling you get when a relationship suddenly ends -- against your will. I also like the mend sorrow, reinvent pleasure lines.

But I think the lyrics and the thoughts they bring to mind are much better than the song. But I voted for Everyday.
