Default Mirage Face Off: Round 8

Love In Store has been voted off!

Vote for your LEAST favorite song from this album. I'll start a new poll within 24 hours with the next round. At the end we will have a winner, and move on to the next album. (mick, john, christine, stevie, lindsey) Studio albums only: Fleetwood Mac, Rumours, Tusk, Mirage, Tango In The Night.

Vote for your least favorite song from the Mirage Album

Love in Store is Gone, yet Straight Back and That's Alright are still there? Ugh. Let's me guess: Little Lies will be voted off the Tango Face off before Welcome to the Room Sara!

Ugh.

I'm officially out.

I voted for SB.

I'll be interested to see the total vote count once this poll is over - to see if all those who called it quits still quietly voted. Feel free to play all - let's just not be sore losers if a poll doesn't go our way!

I voted for That's Alright. Stevie was right to be disappointed that it ended up sounding less country than she wanted. Maybe if she had been there more often to guide it that way.

Hell will freeze over before that happens... I hope.

I don't now. LB and La Nicks seemingly finished that song before they joined FM as evidenced by this guitar version, which sounds almost exactly like the much fuller Mirage cut they did with FM.

Note - La Nicks' harmonies are in the stratosphere on the demo.

I voted for Eyes of The World....can't believe all the people voting off SB....I love the song...but really all the outtakes from Mirage are so much better than the released version all of us got. Why this cd re-issue has not ever seen the light of day with additional tracks I will just not ever understand. Also the outtake to Thats Alright is so much better...I was watching my RS photo Stevie dvd last night (from '81) and she plays the outtakes from Mirage behind her....I'm sure its all the unreleased versions we all have....for Smile At You...though I do somehow think this is a different version than what we all have? anyone else noticed this? Thats Alright is much better too amound other.....how said that what we have as unreleased is better than the released versions....heck I guess we could say that for most of Stevie's catalog too....IMO anyway.....any other opinions out there??

Straight Back in a Mirage rehearsal --

CM is never lovelier than she is on harmony on this. She really enhances La Nicks' already rather stellar, if raw, vocal.

I miss CM

I could try to save EOTW, but really what's the friggin point, I said previously that I will not vote for the remainder of this poll, so that's what I'll do. The Tango poll will be as crappy and as inaccurate as the rest. I'm not being a sore loser. I couldn't care less if a poll goes my way or not (a long as it's a fair poll) Which these aren't.

I said the same thing yesterday ... and then I came back today and voted Straight Back anyway.

And hint, DW, if you vote SB right now, it ties up the fray with EoTW.

A tie should mean a runoff. BTW I voted TA this round to show I am not a Lindsey basher. I think the guy is a genius. But SB is better than all the music box 3 minute trinkets he has on Mirage.

And I disagree. I think SB (on Mirage) stinks.
