McCain is giving his concession speech and as huge as an Obama supporter as I have long been and as blissed out as I am at this moment I can't help but feel a bit sorry for the old coot..Now to see Palin go back to Alaska though is a sweet icing on the cake.

I am watching it now.

1. If McCain had spoke like that in his campaign, he might have won.

2. I believe Palin is wearing one of the billions dollar outfits.

Also - there is a crowd outside the White House CHEERING

And best of all, NO CLINTON in the White House

Obama 333
McCain 155

Irony, the only state where McCain EASILY beat Obama IS my homestate of Oklahoma (Where the GOP has complete control of the state's House and now Senate - the Democratic Gov.Brad Henry is screwed for the next 2 years...Gee thanks folks!)

He should've been pur president the past 8 years. It's ironic. george Bush ruined his chance to win in 2000 and after 8 years of crappy leadership he ruined it in 2008. Poor guy.

It really was a very gracious speech. And I don't think we've seen the last of Sarah Palin, sorry to say.

Bush called Obama, Betcha that was a FUN phone conversation...

Obama shouldve pulled a Dave Chapelle styled "My name is Rick James...BITCH" and hung up on him

Indiana, Missouri and N.Carolina are still too close to call...(Obama leads in Indiana & N.Carolina...Montana too)

NOT that it MATTERS now.

Obama 338
McCain 155

Well, Indiana does in the sense that it was a solidly red state. Ditto for Missouri, which McCain is barely winning.

This is all rather much to comprehend.

What it is is a seismic shift in American culture ..one that has been a long time coming ..too long IMHO..but better late than never.

WHERE you live at, I'm afraid to see what happens here now that the GOP has control of the state. It's very odd, Democrats in this state got beat badly but nationwide they did great.

Here comes the next President of the United States of America!!!

Poor Jessie Jackson, out in the audience with a look of "That should've been me, not him" on his face.

You betcha! *wink*

This election will only force the fringe elements of the GOP to work harder. They will claim under their own delusion that the moderate McCain is why they lost.
The fact is McCain was the only reason Obama didn't win this by 450+ electoral votes.

Limbaugh will say no one listened to him (yet he had a "good feeling" about this election Tuesday afternoon, the oxycontin will free him from this memory). McCain's choice of Palin was like a snickers bar. It was satisfying for an hour. After the economic woes since the summer, I think had McCain sucked it up with Romney this election would've been closer. Palin only appealed to people who were already going to vote for McCain.
