No, I don't think it does personally. I love Lindsey's sound at the moment and obviously he's into a more, maybe, DIY feel too. I love it. I was never into the polished sound of OOTC. It says nothing about him or his finances at all just his taste for something more real sounding imo. If the guy was so strapped for cash I doubt he'd be going on the road for the third time in two years travelling by private plane.

I'm really curious what you will think of the album, jbrownjr. I think you'll definitely like it more than UTS.

I'm trying to stay away from reviews and such... I want a virgin listen... I went to the websight and didn't know it was gonna play a tune... so I listened to one tune...

Yes, he was so poor that he recorded Tusk in his bathroom, taped mics on the floor, and tapped the mikes cause he couldn't afford a mick. Your remarks are so dumb and prooving that you don't understand Lindsey's experiments, that I almost feel sorry for him that you don't hate his new album. I stop the discussion here, AJ. I can handle criticism and difference of taste, but I simply can't handle stupidity.

As for the recording sounds that sound unprofessional - LB is a perfectionist. So, it is unlikely those sounds are there by accident. Who knows, maybe he thought they were cool I also think he wanted to do this record mostly on his own, which explains the home studio, which he likely took with him from the last house.

I love Tusk shack... and I love the vocals in the bathroom... Love Law and Order.. go Insane... Love him breaking glass and recording it....

I just don't want another UTS... I want more melodies... more structure.. more of his wonderful vocals (untainted)... warm harmonies... and some groove.... he's missing some groove most of all...

now i'm hopeful cos I heard a tune on his websight and quite liked the warmness of it.... we'll see...

Well, it's a good thing you've stopped talking then.

I understand EVERYONE who don't like UTS. I love it, but that's mainly because of the incredible unity and atmosphere of that album and the fact it is not a typical songcollection, but an album where every single song needs the one before and after to shine. And that's an incredible achievement.

I hope you like this one more, but I don't know if you'll find what you're looking for.

Didn't he do a lot of UTS on the road too? Some of the new album may have been recorded that way as well.

There's a couple of typically weird Lindsey tracks on there but overall it's a pretty melodic album, honestly, I have a good feeling you'll like it. And Gerald is right, you'll love Underground for sure.

see i don't mind a few weird tracks....

like Bwana opening Law and Order was incredible... then go to Trouble... then Mary Lee Jones...

I still think the most cohesive album he's done is Go Insane... it's about one concept... and it all ties together....
