Could be an issue with Beauty and The Beast - and the reason we didn't see it on tv.

Didn't they perform that song with the audience along with the footage from the film in the background.... Then WITHOUT the audience, they redid the song with an orchestra and without the film footage?

Could be a licensing issue...

I just checked the status of my order, AND it has gone from a BACKORDER to PICKING

status. Looks like these dvds are finally starting to move!

What on Earth does "picking" mean anyway?!?

Mine said that earlier when I checked, but now it says "shipping."

Hi Brian! Nice to see you back where you belong! Mine still says "picking"! How long does it take to "pick" a dvd?! Brian, tell me tell me...Oh Brian won't you tell me tonight?

I'm thinking that in warehouse lingo it means that the order has been dropped to actually pick from a storage bin of some kind. When it is prepped for shipping or on its' way to our humble little abodes, it goes into the "shipping" status.

Mines on the "Shipping" status as well... Was yesterday too.... I must have been on "Picking" prior to that.

Wow, it looks like PBS is the way to go. Whoever surmised that they must have exclusive rights to sell the DVD for a few weeks must have been right.

i ordered mine when part I aired~ the money was even in the column on my online banking as ready to clear, then it dissappeared~ that was in july~ i looked at my bank this morning & i see that the money has finally been taken out, so i hope this means that it will ship soon~ that is how it wrked before when i ordered from pbs, i received my dvd within 5 days after~
here's to hoping!!!~

Should I order a copy of this show? I saw some of it on YouTube & really liked it, but I don't need a whole DVD of it.

I really do hope people get their DVD they bought directly from PBS in a timely manner and they deliver because Amazon is now listing the release date of this as December 31, 2008

PBS took the money out of my account yesterday and my status also now shows as "shipping".

I can't wait for it. I recorded Part 1 and part 2 to dvr and somehow part 1 was mysteriously erased from the dvr list.

No, because you didn't order Bass Hall, so you can't order this. Just put it in your Netflix queue.
