Default Did anyone else know?

I'm sorry if it has already been brought up but, did anyone know that there is a clip of Stevie and Lindsey singing " I dont want to know" live? I just ran across it on Youtube. I always thought the song was written around the Rumours recording, does anyone know if it was actually written earlier?

Yes, it was written and performed by them when they were still just Buckingham Nicks.

This should have been on the first Fleetwood Mac album given that Stevie only got to sing a meager two songs otherwise. And if a song needs to be taken off to make it fit, get rid of "Blue Letter", I suppose. That isn't even their song.

She actually had three songs on the white album. It's just that Lindsey sang one of them instead.(Crystal)

I wouldn't have complained about that. But I love the treatment it got on RUMOURS (with wonderful little sonic paraphernalia just barely identifiable). You wouldn't have got that treatment from the 1975 sessions. Besides, it fits so well on RUMOURS; that's part of what makes RUMOURS sound Appalachian. (It isn't Nashville country -- that "dreadful modern product," as Albert Goldman put it -- it's hillbilly country.)

Another reason that she wishes John hadn't asked for that stupid song! No tactful way to get Lindsey's darn vocals off . . . although she could have used reverse psychology on him and said, "Oh, honey I'm so eager for the world to hear you sing about 'crystalline knowledge' on the band's first album."
