Not now - but the 70's and late 80's/early 90's they were the rage Shortly thereafter, kilts were in and made glorious a short time later when Donna Karan intoduced them in he men's wear line I wore one in a show one time, which is frightening!

Yes, I've heard stories about the olden days.

Ah, the glorious Utilikilt. A staple at leather street fairs everywhere...

I'm also really nostalgic for those Op corduroy shorts with the welt pockets. I still have a pair I wore in the 6th grade, and I actually still fit into them, but they look more like go-go shorts these days. Still, I'm going to whip them out the second they come back in style!

yeah, a better description of what you're wearing would help.

however, some, if not most hetero guys call anyone that doesn't fit into their box a fag. fag is the lowest of the lowest their feeble minds can come up with. I mean, they could at least be creative and call you a f---------r.

(I edited in case that word offends anyone. )

I haven't been out forever, but I remember buffed -up hairless Chelsea gym bunnies wearing kilts, shirtless, with black combats and white thick socks. That look was always so confusing to me. Or even better, was a variation of that same look but with a ballet 'tutu' instead. Hawt.

That was THE look from about 90-94 ish - it started in NYC and worked its way around. It resurges every now and then.

Regurges, more like it.

Give me the late 70's 'clone' look. Mmmm, hirsute.

Christ, I'm straight as a rail, but... do some people have some kind of hangup about men wearing shorts? When it's 90 outside and the sun is beating down on me, I'm not going to suffer and wear jeans. Maybe my wolfman calves are a turnoff to some people?
Were you wearing these?:

Or, were you wearing any of these?:
