I like Sylvie. She has certainly never liked Stevie's music, but she has always seemed fascinated by -- Stevie Nicks the woman. I think Sylvie has always been a little in love with Stevie.
Seemingly that is so true! I think it was Sylvie that interviewed Stevie for CREEM way back when Bella Donna was released and it was a pretty funny read. She got her digs in then too.
I think it's interesting that both Stevie & Sylvie are still at it after all these years.

Good points, David, and I agree...Nice!

Watch it now...Stevie herself said she was a "snotty little bitch"....let's not get confused.

Something bothered me about this article. I think twice she said "I was in hospital". No one says that here in America, unless they are trying to be like Madonna and affect a phony British accent. Who says "in hospital" here in the US? We say " I was in the hospital".

Unless it was a transcription typo. Or, the article is a parody.

I WANT to do this NOW!"
If he was a normal aging rockstar, I'd say he's doing it to produce freely a solo album that likely wouldn't debut to number 1, to gain some more money for an even safer way of life and to perfom some more times in front of huge audiences. But since, as we all know, he's an undercover monk I answer: for the sake of the art.

I never thought he was a monk. But he did used to be a hothead who would not think twice about taking the road that was less lucrative to himself and didn't seem desperate if he went from 1982-1987 or from 1987-1997 without making big FM money. Whether it was integrity, stubbornness or just general obnoxiousness, he didn't used to be a "go along to get along" type of guy in the past.

Actually he was making FM money all the time even when he wasn't there, so...

Yeah, that's as true in 2008 as it was in 1988. They're all still making FM money (including Chris), even though the band is dormant, but there's a big difference between royalties and tour money.

I appreciate that you think my writing skills are so great I could fake a 5,000 word interview from a five page article.
I don't have the magazine (which is British btw) in front of me right now so I can't tell you if it's a typo or not, however if I were transcribing an interview with an American I would probably write "in hospital" instead of "in the hospital" and "mum" instead of "mom", just as a style point, a lot of magazines do that, it doesn't mean the interview is fake or a parody.
