i'm in new zealand right now! we just arrived in Pencarrow (in Queenstown) for the last 4 days of the honeymoon. I am completely knackered. Also, I had a bad curry and have had the shats for a few days. Bummer! But I'm in a good frame of mind, and Renee is happy so it's all good.

And thus The Ledge loses one of our few straight bachelors. Sigh.

The honemoon looks awesome, can't wait until I have more time to look at all of the pics!

Please tell me you didn't BBQ that Weta! He's enormous!!
You realise your 'e making me extremely homesick with all those Glenorchy/Queenstown photos (esp the "downtown" one) just as I remember as a kid, walking on that lakefront looking for money dropped out of pockets after the circus had been...ahhhhh......memories of a mis- spent childhood!!! ...

ooo...and the one about "taking a roadside break from driving", I'm giggling...like there's loads of traffic...awww, glad your'e having/had a wonderful time, despite curry problems.

CONGRATULATIONS Brandon

How did i miss this post.

Nomore buying expensive new guitars for you. However i found a way around it. Buy really good old guitars and tell her its a really old cheap second hand one that might be worthing something in a few years.

All the best you and your wife in the years to come and your lives together.

I wrote yous a little line...here goes

"There was once a young lad called Jones,
Who with a guitar could get all of the Tones
Till a sparkler she plucked
Now his whole future is ****ed
And all we hear now are the Moans"

well yeah...taking abreak from the driving. I was the slowest driver on the road--so I kept having people ride my ass. But, I did move over quickly and let people by. I wasn't used to driving "on the wrong side." I did quickly get used to it--i think I'd get on in NZ or the UK just fine.

bahaha...no we didnt barbie the Weta...we just fed him some raw mince. We did so in hopes that he'd grow exponentially and then eat the neighbors annoying, constantly barking dog.

eat the neighbours dog..ha, I like that one, but you gotta say they are pretty creepy.. those wetas! Considering they've been around since dino times, it's understandable. As for driving, thats the thing over there, you end up looking out the window most of the time, so that you don't miss anything and the traffic sneaks up behind you..sounds like the French way of driving has snuck up onto us there...OH NO!!!!! Great pics.

Glad you liked the pics. I mean it when I say I could easily sell all I have and just pack up and move to Queenstown. It was just so peaceful.

Oh, yes I am loving the pics (I'm glad your'e enjoying taking them). I can quite believe you could sell up all and move there... maybe you should look into it! I realise I'm very lucky to have a passport and a choice as to where I can go, the UK at the moment is really going down the tubes to be honest and I'd love to eventually get home. Is Queenstown that peaceful??? It's quite a tourist mecca and I thought it was just about the busiest place outside of Auckland!!

It was quite slow, I thought. Maybe we caught the end of the "rush." I thought Wellington was much busier. We had no problems with traffic, getting places to park or anything of the sort. Must've just been the right time and all the planets aligned for us or something.

Great pics of New Zealand. I really liked these two - they brought back happy memories of standing in almost the same spot a few years ago. It is a beautiful country.
