Default Madge Being Inducted into the RR Hall of Fame

I just found this article from People Magazine.. Here's the link:

http://www.people.com/people/article...180488,00.html

I still don't get this, as what she does, IMO, is "not" Rock n Roll.. I'm just suprised that she's getting this before Stevie..

Arguably, after Bella Donna, the vast majority of what La Nicks and FM did was not rock and roll - rather, it was pop. To be fair, the R&R Hall of Fame has never realy been just for Rock and Roll as that term generally is defined. As for influence, Madge likely has has more over her 25 year career than La Nicks has had in her solo career.

I do think, however, that La Nicks should be inducted for her solo career as soon as possible.

True this! I just don't see anything Madge has ever done as "Rock and roll" either.. but I sure would see La Nicks there sooner than I thought Madge would be there..

I've seen three-toed sloths rock harder than Madonna.

LOL.. Ok? That's what I'm talking about.. I'm not saying that Madonna doesn't deserve a music award of some sort, as she has had a very long career, but come on... Why not Stevie??

Because the RRHOF is pretty much owned by Rolling Stone Magazine... famous for attempting to interpret Stevie's lyrics literally (did you know that ATGF is really about a road ****?) and still using every excuse in the book to put her down.

I think if La Nicks ever releases another record, she will be indicted then - her label will see to it as that is an effective PR instrument as well - I mean Madonna has Hard Candy dropping soon, FM had The Dance, etc.

The Crock and Blow Hall of Shame is nothing more than a Cleveland Ohio tourist attraction, so who cares who gets inducted into it.

May be. But the museum feels pretty kick ass when you're in it, I think.

I honestly would love to visit. I think Madge deserved induction, as does Stevie.
