Boy ~ can I relate to this ~ my son is going to be 16 in two weeks and that child has been a FOUL mood for weeks now. He will come home ~ barley speak when spoken too ~ fix something to eat and retire to his bat cave. I ask him if something’s wrong and he just kinda shrug’s his shoulders and growls at me. Mr. Dark & Depressed is really getting on my nerves!!!

She's not really like that towards me, thank God. But then again, I'm not her birth mother. I'm just raising her right now. I think that makes a difference. Don't get me wrong, I'm flattered she comes and talks to me, but lately it's constant bitching! Oh well, I love the child like my own, and I'll listen to everything she has to tell me just so I can keep her coming to me. We're sitting here together right now playing Guitar Hero together, and she seems to be in a wonderful mood!

In their defense, I remember being they're age, and being bitchy to almost every adult I came into contact with. In my opinion, they're stress is as real as ours. Even if it seems like petty **** to us, it's real to them.

sara1998 [i feel so stupid, i foget your name!], i get where your 16 year old is coming from, thats how ive been feeling a lot lately, and your reaction is exactly the same as my moms. i found it ironic. and yes, math does suck

this may just be the best thread ever. lol.
My real name is Maria.
I've seen your recent rants on myspace. I swear, sweetie, this too shall pass. I'm sure I sound like mom, and I'm not trying to, but listen to her... she's pretty smart. And I agree! Math does suck! I'm taking algebra 1 right now, and I still think math sucks, but it's something I have to do, so why bitch about it???

Glad you think this is the best thread ever.... rant away! That's why I started it.... Everyone else around me is bitching, so I figured someone here had something to bitch about too.

Guitar Hero and Wii always bring us together ~ I know their problems are huge to them but ...... it wouldn't hurt for him to smile every now and then

I wouldn't go back to my teenage years for anything...I really enjoyed my high school days. Looking back the 80's seemed so carefree and awesome ~ now high school seems more dangerous then the wrong side of town. These kids have alot of crap top deal with. I just try to be there for him when he is ready to talk.

Agreed. 100%.
Good luck with him. He'll grow to be a good man someday... I have faith.

yeah, im in alg 2 right now, and its just review until like....feb vacation i think, but im already sick of it, i plan to work with journalism or something anyway, so i dont care what i get. lol. my myspace rants are fun...haha. by the way, thanks for reminding me of your name Maria, ive had such mind cramps lately, i really dont remember many peoples names on here anymore. Ill have to refer back to my name thread someday. but its true, everyone needs to get things off of their chest, and sometimes complaining to your mother isnt the most fun thing to do.

oh, Carrie, your post made me crack up for the first time today, truely. I was sure i spelt something wrong as usual....

I work in a medical office. I know a lot of people are sick. But I see SOOO MANY people who are young or young enough. People as old as Lindsey and Stevie (that's how I look at them when I'm doing the paperwork and have to figure out how old they are). How did you people get this way? I'm so worn down by the youngsters in their late 50s, early 60s, that when someone who is 92 comes in, my thought is....F***ing die already! And the youngsters are usually poor, always on public assistance. It's got to be lifestyle and I bet they've not worked a lot of days in their life. What was their plan? How were they going to survive without public asistance? I do my best to take care of the oldsters... but when someone 58 walks in reeking of cigarettes...and presents his Medicaid card... it gets hard not to feel resentful. I just have a feeling he hasn't worked a lot of days in his life...and I have.

Sorry, but I have absolutely no sympathy for people who wait until their pets are practically dead before they seek help, especially if they act the way she acted.

If she had gotten in her car and spent the time driving to the emergency clinic that she instead spent arguing with me - after I'd already given her an answer - she could've been halfway there.
