I've been wondering the same thing. What the heck is taking so long? The movie was great.

A long time ago--6 months at least, I went to the Gypsy 83 website and sent an email asking this very same question. I got an email back saying that they were trying to get a larger theater release for the movie at that time. I was put on the mailing list and got one email after that listing film festivals where it would be shown, but haven't heard anything since.
It IS a great movie. I really hope it does come out on video at some point--I doubt the theater rerelease will happen.
