I agree 100%. And I did have it happen at around that age. Scary stuff. Was I ready to be a parent? Hell no. Did that stop me from having sex? Hell no. It's just part of being a teenager.

The apparent fact that the majority of teens act like idiots doesn't make what they virtually all do less stupid. The same can be said of all of us, of course. The stupidity of drinking & driving doesn't decrease in inverse proportion to the number of people who drink & drive.

It's not that having sex at 16 makes her a "slut". It's being a dumb broad.. i.e. "completely shocked" when she realized she was knocked up that makes her a gutterslut.

we had a 10 minute discussion on this in AP history yesterday.
