Little Lies Cover

A friend in Boston told me she went to a concert by singer/songwriter, Ari Hest, last night. He introduced one tune by saying that he was covering a song by a band that he grew up listening to, especially once he started playing guitar. Of course her mind went to FM right away, but she thought maybe she was just deluding herself. But sure enough, to her pleasure, he started playing "Little Lies."

I think the slower tempo brings out the contemplative, wistful aspect of the song more.

I think this is really good.

I don't normally go for covers of Christine's songs because I prefer the originals but this is nice.

Thanks for posting the link! I think he did a live cover of Landslide before too, but I don't know if it was ever commercially available. I thought this version was pretty good. I think you are right about the tempo bringing out a different quality to the song. I really like the harmonies on this one too.

He's very talented. I like his deep low voice and the way it wraps around the song.

I don't like his version at all. He sings like he has a mouthful of spit. You'd never understand any of the lyrics if you didn't already know them.
