Question Getting E mail through the board

Marty (or anyone that knows),

I got an e mail from a member here yesterday (d2brian) which showed up as being from "d2brian" in my inbox. As I had recognized his name since Brian and I had some correspondence a while back and I figured since it was his user name from the ledgeboards in the name box, I figured it was safe to open it and that it would have the usual stuff at the beginning saying "this is an e mail from a member at The Penguin ledgeboards, here is the message:" etc. but there was nothing in it at all, not that "usual" stuff, nor a message from Brian. It said "Copyright material" or something like that in the subject line and as I had submitted the lyrics to Marty recently for Eddie Boyd's "The big boat" I thought that it may be something regarding this but as I say, there was nothing in the body of the message. I replied to it and said to Brian to "let me know what it was he was asking as there was nothing in the email" but he said that he "had not e mailed me and that it must be a bug or virus or whatever and that he was sorry for any problems it may have caused me". It was just his name in the name box when he replied to me then and as I know this is the way it works when you "reply to a reply" from an e mail you get from a ledgeboard member, I thought I'd ask here (as I assume it has something to do with the boards) if anyone knows "what happened" as so far anyways, my computer is working fine, there are no signs of a bug and/or virus on it (knock on wood) and I thought I'd say anyways as an alert in case someone somehow maybe got in through the backdoor and was messing around or something (Brian is a good guy though so I'm not saying it was him in case he reads this and thinks that I think that ). In any event, any thoughts on this would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

John

John--

It likely then was not from the Ledge. Free email addresses from the fleetwoodmac.net domain have been available for a few years.
