Perhaps he is just in a survival mode at this point.

Oh dear God. No wonder she has a restraining order of some sort on her mother. She's probably trying to gain custody of the kids.

There's no need for self incrimination. At least, I think that part of the Constituion is still in place.

the latest from perez...

Quote:
The producers of Lindsay Lohan’s new movie are lending their support to the perpetually troubled star.

The actress had been taking tango lessons for her role in the upcoming film, Dare to Love Me.

Following Lohan’s arrest on Tuesday morning, the production company for the movie released the following statement:

“Bowline Entertainment is standing behind Lindsay. Lindsay is insured for the movie as of now.”

It’s nice to know that she will have a job when she gets out of rehab.

Unfortunately she may be heading to jail then!

And going forward, Lohan will probably be asked to pay for her own insurance on films. That’s gonna be EXPENSIVE.
also, he says this was the second of lohan's two assistants.

that's the most sickening part. all the millions of gossip folks want to watch and read the trash. at the same time, it makes the subjects of the talk even crazier. now that is a vicious cycle. the media is ****ing out of hand on everything, all the time.

I was thinking about this whole thing as I heard it on the way in to work today. I've never been an addict, so I can't even begin to imagine how hard it must be to kick an addiction. I've never liked Lindsey Lohan. But I don't hate her or wish the girl dead. I hope she gets the help she needs. It seems as though she does not have a good support system (i.e. crappy parents) so it might be even harder for her to get on, and stay on, the right track. Especially if she continues to keep company with the same people.

My main criticism of her is the fact that she continues to get into her car after getting drunk and high. Yes, probably everyone has driven under the influence at least once. Most of us have just been lucky enough to not get caught. This girl could have someone drive her anywhere she wanted to go. And I understand that she might not have planned to go out and get drunk and high, but she did. I'm sure she could have found someone to drive her around even at that late hour. But she was probably more concerned about chasing her pa then worrying about endangering herself and others.

Look at FM. I'm not positive, of course, but I don't remember any of them ever being arrested for DUI or possession of drugs. And they were drunk and high most of the time for several years. How did they manage that? They didn't get in their cars and drive around. Hell, Stevie doesn't even have a license (really, come on, you're so busy you can't get a license? if i had her money, i'd be wanting to drive a kick ass car).

So, I guess I'm saying, people can get drunk and high all they want without having to endanger anyone but themselves. It just takes a tiny bit of thought and consideration.

It's horrifying enough when you wake up in the morning and can't recall what you did last night. Can you imagine going to someplace like the New York Post or TMZ and reading all about it complete with photos?

I'm sure they've all been in trouble with the law. We just didnt hear about it, or they were sneaky enough to get away with it.

Wasn't John arrested for something a long time ago?

Betty is good though. It's a true old school style program from what I understand. She won't have much access to the outside world there, especially not at first.

This is true. And I agree with you. In my view, a big part of the problem is that once you get to a certain point, you really just don't give a damn anymore, and your scope of vision is WAY too narrow to even begin that sort of rational thought process.

Another problem, I think, is the fact that we live in a society where, no, it's not okay to get drunk and high all you want without endangering yourself. You can't sit in your house and do this or that, because as soon as someone turns their back on you, or as soon as the pigs get wind, they are coming in.

I knew (know, unless they died) people who would do **** in their cars or where-ever else just to avoid the risk of losing their homes. The war on drugs cannot be won, and John Q. Taxpayer is pumping money into a bureaucratic system that has no positive impact on the numbers and no proven results. But it will NEVER stop, because they get paid as long as they can find someone to punish or treat. Alternative lifestyles are persecuted by every branch on every side of every aisle, and it's ****ing sickening. And now I'm all riled up. lol.

I also think she should come to the Hazelden campus here. They have a fantastic program. Also, it's nestled between Center City and Lindstrom; the latter having a water tower in the shape of a teapot. That's about as far from the Hollywood scene as one could get, don't you think?

That teapot is great. From my understanding Hazelden is out in the woods. Again, it's a more old school style rehab and for the first few weeks there is little or no link with the outside world. They want you to focus on recovery 24/7. They certainly wouldn't let her keep her Blackberry and go to the tanning salon like that other place did.

i won't lie --i enjoy reading about the oh so terrible perils of life as a hollywood starlet because i find it interesting (thinking back to psych and sociology classes). however, i also enjoy my political, world, and local news so i think i'm just down with news in general.

celebrities and their antics has taken top priority over things once deemed newsworthy so i think the reason i do find the aforementioned so fascinating is because it's all there is to hear about and i've become conditioned to thinking of it as -- well -- news.

well then that's good to hear for her sake. she doesn't need to be coddled in there. she needs to be treated like you or i would be treated in rehab -- that means no going out to get starbucks, work out or tan.
