^ Sweet! I agree, a bit oversung at times, but I still got chills. Not even one of my fave tunes on Children Running Through, to be honest. I wonder if it will end up on Kelly's new CD.

Ok, so don't hate me, but I didn't know that Patty had a new CD out. I'm a big fan of hers, but I guess I just listen to the music that I have and that others have given me and didn't really keep up with her a lot. So, after seeing this thread yesterday, I went right out and bought the CD and I love it. Well, not right out because I had to go to two different towns to get it because I live in the boondocks! But anyway, I got it and I love it so thanks to all of you who posted about how great the album is because it's simply amazing.

Umm... that's a tough one. I too love Trapeze. I also love Heavenly Day, Stay on the Ride, No Bad News, Up to the Mountain, Burgundy Shoes and I Don't Ever Give Up. So, basically like the whole album. I watched her Ellen performance on youtube and it was so amazing. I actaully Really started listening to her when my step-sister put the Elizabethtown soundtrack in one time we were driving to DC. I heard Long Ride Home and was hooked. The only album I had before was 10,000 Kisses so now I have both of these. I had some other songs that some people had given me because they thought that I would like her. It was a long time ago and I just put the CD away so I had to dig that out. It had some great songs on it. Gotta love those friends.

My boss' son got married Saturday - he just told me that his two daughters sang, "Oh, Heavenly Day" at the ceremony.

I went to Antone's last weekend to see Ian McLagan's all-star show, with a "very special guest." That guest turned out to be Patty. Here's a couple pics I took (that's Mark Andes on the bass):

It's been a while since this thread has been revived but there's news!

Amazon.com is listing an October 30th release date for the Artists' Den Live Patty Griffin concert DVD.

Set list from the concert. Not sure all songs will make it on the DVD.

Get Yourself Another Fool
Stay on the Ride
Trapeze
Burgundy Shoes (strings)
Heavenly Day (strings)
You Never Get What you Want (solo)
Moon Song (solo, restarted)
J'irai La Voir Un Jour
No Bad News
When It Don't Come Easy
(band intros)
Standing
Love Throw a Line
Crying Over (strings)
Up To The Mountain (strings)
[encore]
Sweet Lorraine
Top of the World (strings)
Getting Ready

Before ordering from Amazon, apparently Barnes and Noble will be offering a DVD/CD combo that is not currently offered at Amazon. Barnes didn't have the offer on their website earlier so you'll have to keep watching.
