I would say it will be. I mean, the only real tour that Stevie has done on her own since TISL is the Gold Dust tour and its extension - which is my guess why the set has not changed much in that time...

I guess I've grown used to Stevie's staleness as this point but it does sadden me. She talks all the time in interviews about not wanting to get married/have children because she didn't want to compromise her art. Frankly, there's not much "art" left. I will always love, admire and follow her, but I feel she has so much more to offer.

I really appreciate that. A hornet's nest? More like a swarm of locusts! In a way, I also have grown used to her "arrested development." Still love what's she's done in the past, but wish more from her.

And I'm learning volumes about the emotional intellect of some the posters here. As if Stevie is some sort of deity, she is beyond reproach to some. Critque or question her career/choices and you run the risk of being damned to hell. Your fandom is questioned and you get "fu*k you" thrown at you....as if you spat on their children, crapped on their lawn, or kicked their dog. Nice, huh?

Next time I post a thread, I'll be careful to make sure it's innocuous, banal and politically correct; one of complete praise, love and kisses! How about this one: "Is Stevie still in love with Lindsey?"

Thanks for posting. I am bored with Stevie only in that she is not releasing any newly written material. I do think she will eventually. I am not bored with her set-lists or seeing her perform which is probably due to not seeing her in concert that often. I am thankful for the DVD. I will be seeing her in May.

I do recogonize the fact that she's alive and kicking and believe me, I am very grateful for that. I am simply voicing my opinion about this particular topic. It amazes me every day that the woman is almost 60 and she's still doing what she's doing. That erases any momentary sadness I may feel

Stevie loves to perpetuate her own myths...

Well, I am excited about this tour. Granted, I am a young fan, both in age, and years of fandom, but just the thought of seeing Stevie solo in concert thrills me. This being said, I would definately love to see her do some songs she doesn't normally do. Part of the reason she and her band only do certain songs is because some of them they claim are too difficult to do live, eg Bella Donna.

In my opinion that is rediculous. Bella Donna would be totally easy to do live. If need be, hire me to play the piano for you Stevie, I'd make it happen.

Anyway, I am excited about this tour, and do wish she would produce another album. I believe she will because she constantly writes, and I know, as a songwriter, one of the worst feelings is writing like a manic and having no place for that music to go. Writing songs is an amazing feeling, and seeing them come to life is an even more pheonomenal one, so I feel she will release more music.

Much Love,
Ethan

I think it's quite ridiculous that people expect her to make them new music with only a few year lapse since her last release. Trouble in Shangri-La 2002-2007. Only five years people

Try being a fan of Annie Lennox. At the longest it took her a decade in between Diva and Medusa. She even moved away from her career to have children and raise them. Only recently now that her daughters are older, did she have the chance to tour with Sting in 2004. She just released Bare in 2003 and fans on her site are still discussing that release. This year Annie has mentioned that she has a release coming this fall. And the reaction of her fans was not, FINALLY but aren't we so lucky! Now, I'm in no way judging Stevie's decisions, but she decidedly gave up having children for the prolificness of her career. Who knows what other sacrifices she gave up so that The Wild Heart followed Bella Donna by essentially, a year! Ms. Nick's prolificness and dedication has her fans spoiled!
If you think she owes you anything, THINK AGAIN!

On top of it, Ms. Nicks has inspired generations of artists.
Here's a good lead; go check out Patty Griffin's cataloge as in the past she's mentioned that Nicks is an inspiration. Her song writing is on par to Nicks in her ability to invoke emotive imagery. Expand your horizons and discover new talents!

Perhaps it would also be wise to delve back into the plethora of albums that Ms. Nicks has already created as well. I went back through LB's cataloge in the lean years of no new music and rediscovered the greatness.

No offense to anyone. Back to the LB forum.
that I agreed with everything you said here! That's all I wanted to say. lol

I do not recommend starting that kind of thread if you want an innocuous, lighthearted discussion.

It is kind of scary how defensive some fans can be about Stevie. I am still flabbergasted over the idea that somehow I am not a devoted fan because I complained about Silver Springs and her stagnant set lists. (and somehow, by complaining, that means I am not grateful she made it through the drug years and is still alive and performing )

I too am in the camp of being tired of reading these anti-Stevie threads in a Stevie fan forum. Sometimes I feel odd that I honestly do not care what's in her setlist. I've been going to see Stevie live since Rock a Little, and will continue to do so until she decides she's had enough. I do wish she would release some new music, but when I'm standing there and she comes out on stage, the magic and energy is overwhelming.

I think everyone is 100% entitled to their own feelings and opinions, and I certainly do NOT think I am a "better" fan or whatever, but sometimes it feels as though the negative threads outnumber the positive ones here. I remember how excited I was when I found this place- a place where there were other Stevie geeks like me! I know that some think that there are those of us that keep our expectations too low, but I will always be grateful that she is still doing her thing. Every time I see her on tour, I worry it could be her last. She's given me a lifetime (literally) of music and magic.
