Sad Yet Funny Rhiannon Story

Okay, so I'm walking from my 11:00 class to the Student Union building at school, and of course I'm at a huge university (Pitt) with people just everywhere, and that kind of makes me a little nuts...so I try to just tune everyone out. But for some reason I happened to just latch onto a conversation between to guys walking behind me. The one (X) was telling the other (Y) who cut his hair...a girl named Rhiannon. (Y) is like, "Breanna?" And (X) says, "No, Rhiannon." And (Y) says, "Rhiannon? Well, is she American?" And (X) says, "Yeah, and hot too. She's about 22." I didn't really catch the rest because I started laughing to myself. I wanted SO bad to turn around and ask him, "She was probably named after the Fleetwood Mac song Rhiannon, haven't you heard it?" I figured I shouldn't because I knew he would say no and then that would fire me up, but I just kept laughing thinking about how he couldn't understand why someone, an American, was named Rhiannon. I think maybe you had to be there, but I still thought I'd share it with everyone.

Don't you just love how whenever someone even remotely close by you says something that you could relate to FM, it's like your hearing is 10 times better for that one word or phrase. Like when I hear rumours or the name rhiannon or something, i dunno it just like becomes louder than any other word in the sentence. I probably sound really strange

but it's just something that's happened before!!

That is so funny you bring that up because I got this Hamilton Collection (I think it was) catelogue in the mail the other day and in it were some dolls made by this lady named Rhiannon something-or-other and I go "COOL!" LOL How stupid and funny at the same time to get excited over something related to the Mac. I do the SAME thing at work when I see October 3rd, or the name Buckingham or Lindsey or something...I'm a goober.

OH i know what you mean. Like whenever I see a Fleetwood RV, I'm like, cool. And my mom bought me this new watch and the brand is Rumours, and it's actually spelled right, so I was all excited. I know, I'm a total nerd, but I can't help it.

I do that with those Fleetwood RV's too!! LOL ALSO, about an hour from my house, on the way to my grandmother's home, we pass Fleetwood Mobile Homes!! I keep wanting to take a picture of the sign!! I'm such a lame-o!!

LOL I have one of those too...i was desperate for a watch one day and i was in a hurry and i was in Rave and i grabbed one..and i was putting it on and i was like "ahh it says Rumours"

Also,my neighbors youngest granddaughter in named Rhiane..she like a year old..and her Mom was gonna name her Rhiannon...i was like well why didn't she?? sheesh..

I'm like this too, I'll bring them them up any time I possibly can in class, and while my connections between not breaking the chain and the flow of history make tons of sense to me, everyone else gives me those "Man, she is SO wierd" glances.
