Default New Orleans Photos+

Lindsey did play both 'Turn It On" and "Shut Us Down" at this show. Most of the front rows were older folks but let me tell you they were ready to rock and roll! Someone put a BuckinghamNicks LP on the stage early in the show in hopes that Lindsey would sign it. He did. He said something to the effect that he was going to sign it now because it would be too distracting to him to have it there for the show. He signed it and looked at it again and made some kind of a grunting/growling noise. Not really too sure what that was all about.

They seemed to be rather strict about not letting anyone take photos so I was careful. However, just about everyone was taking cellphone pictures and security was not near the stage. Towards the end of the show I took out my tiny camera and got a few OK shots. I also took a few clips but the camera only lets me take 1 minute of video and no zoom so it really wasn't very good.

Here are a few of my photos.

That trick didn't work when I tried it. And I even covered Stevie up.

You shouldn't have covered Stevie up.

I forgot to add that even though the ticket said that it was 'standing room only' it wasn't. There were about 100 seats on the floor area of the stage. As a result the seats in the front row were limited which kind of sucked. I should have been front row center because I was the first one in line. Normally if you make a dining reservation at HOB you get to be first in line to go to the show. Well, the restaurant was closed for a private party so that idea was gone. However this older couple was ranting and raving about how they 'had' a reservation and did not know that the HOB was closed. They demanded that they be first in line. Also, anyone who had a handycap was let in before the rest of the crowd. The couple was let into the venue along with the handcapped people. Next time you want to cut the line at HOB just slap a fake cast on your leg and you will be fine. Thanks to a few nice people who worked at HOB I was let in right after those people because I had been there so early.

The NOLA HOB is a cool venue in that it is very intimate. I was a membner of the Foundation Room prior to Katrina and it is likely LB and the band hung out there after as many a star did in the past. When you are downstairs looking at the stage, if you look up and to your left, that balcony used to by the Foundation Room's private seating area. I am unsure if it is still that post Katrina. The Foundation Room itself is on the third floor and, other than that one entrace on the actual HOB, is accessed via a private door outside.

I LOVE the HOB and it is ashame you did not get to eat there as the food is pretty good!

Thanks for the pics dahlin'

Thumbs up Pattie!

Those are some great pics!! That sucks that you weren't front row center.

Curious about that whole grunting thing with the BN album. Was he grunting like "Hmm...this is a thorn in my side." or??? LOL Wonder if he's sick of being reminded it's not on CD.

Now I'm questioning as to whether or not to take my BN album. Maybe he grunted because he didn't like how his signature looked?

Exclamation Take It!

Take the album. If he does see it, it's very likely he'll come over to sign it. Don't forget a good sharpie too.

Nah, I doubt that it had anything to do with his signature. I would take it anyway. People were bringing things up for him to sign early in the show. It was so weird. What was weirder is that he was signing. There was one moron who kept holding up a 'Law and Order" LP and kept yelling 'Law and Order" because he wanted it signed. He was becoming so obnoxious that even Neale told him to calm down and maybe later LB would sign it. I don't think he got it signed at least not at the show

A few reasons why Lindsey might have been groaning:

- Maybe he was thinking "Man, 1973 was a bad hair year."

- Or, "Remember the days when Stevie's naked breasts were still pushed up against my back? Those were the days."

- Or "Damn, you'd think by now I would have signed all 443 albums that were sold, but they still they keep on comin'."

- Or "You know, you guys make it very hard for me to get away from the picture 'of the woman that loves me', even though I try so hard."

- Or "I dread the day I'm going to have get into one studio with Stevie and work on this thing. I don't even want to think about that tour we'd have to do after that."

You know, lots of reasons.

Hmm, I am going to go for something along the lines of that second choice.

Oh yeah...a Sharpie. Hmmm...Fine or Extra Fine...I think I'll have to go with Fine. In the Sharpie world, Fine is kinda fat. Extra Fine is still kinda thick...maybe....decisions...decisions....

Now what am I going to wear?!?!? Another thing to think about!
