Right you are! I was being a bit lazy and copy/pasted the lyrics. Guess I didn't proof read as well as I thought. I fixed my post, couldn't let that error go uncorrected, it's too beautiful of a line to be messing up ![]()

Beautiful child:
'Your eyes say yes but you don't say yes I wish that you were mine" Storms: "But never have I been a blue calm sea I've always been a storm" Sara: "Where everyone would love to drown But now it's gone It doesn't matter anymore". |

I think the absolute saddest lyric that Stevie has is from Beautiful Child...
"You say it will be harder in the morning... I wait for you to say just go... your hands held mine so few hours..." I also love Rose Garden where she sings about having men, money and acres of land... "all these things but a small gold band... on my finger... on my left hand". That song always makes me cry because of the lost love and also because being a gay man I am not allowed to get married here in the US and the idea that I can have almost anything I want as long as I work hard enough for it but cannot marry really makes me sad. Also, there's a version of Sara from the Tusk tour from Cleveland that always gets me. It's actually a pretty bad version of the song, Stevie is off in a bunch of places, missed cues, flat vocals, it's a bit of a mess until the end where she sings "it never really died.. no it never really died... oh it was such a heartbeat". I had a friend pass on last year and as I was driving to his memorial I just happened to be listening to that version and when that part came on I had to pull over because I couldn't stop crying. There's just something so sorrowful in the way she sings that one line and it just gets me every time. |

Oh, I'm single but I'm talking about wanting to get married someday. But I do have a friend who had been married for several years in Canada but recently moved to the US and now his marriage doesn't count here. Can you imagine being with someone for years and then to be told by the government that your marriage doesn't exist?
