Default Vegas Quicky 01/19/07

OK, Just checking in for a bit before I have breakfast. Last night's show was OK. Nothing different. The sound made LB's voice break up a bit in the beginning but was OK after. The crowd was pretty reserved until ISA, then all hell broke loose and it was kind of a free for all and the whole front row was up at the stage much to security's dismay.
Security was no where to be found until that point and was tapping people who were even talking on their cell phone. I got 2 photos and the lighting was so bad that it wasn't really worth it. I got a few clips of WT and that was it. I’ll post later.
Richard Dashut and Steve Ross were at the show and Lindsey was beaming with excitement over that fact. He said that they were going backstage.
Kristen was not around or at least LB never mentioned her.

Since this was my first solo Lindsey show maybe I'm not a good judge because I have nothing else to compare it to, but I thought it was more than OK. I thought it was quite good actually. Also, maybe it was just where I was sitting or something but I didn't think the crowd was reserved, at least compared to a number of other concerts I've been to. Patties right, after ISA a number of folks went up to the stage and did the ol' "Hey everybody, look at me!" deal trying to grab attention or whatever.
A few songs later the crowd there grew even larger but surprisingly they became tamer and weren't trying to grab Lindsey and/or his guitar as much as when there were just a couple up at the stage. All in all however, I was very satisfied with the show. BTW, he ended it with Bleed to Love Her.

Well, it was so funny because the front row people were like basically identical to last night's show. We were allowed to stand at the stage but we all waited until World Turning to go up. Lindsey really seemed to be enjoying himself tonight. Richard Dashut and Steve Ross were there again tonight but a few rows farther back and Lindsey joked that they were in the 'cheap seats.'
I do believe that Neale at one point said that he was 'horny'. There were even a few requests for LB to remove his shirt. At the end of the show someone yelled out "Turn It On" and LB said that was going to be done on the next leg of the tour. I did not try at all to take out my camera. That is about all that I remember.

Pattie do you remember if there was any change(s) in the setlist compared to the previous night?

I believe that everything was the same. Nothing new yet. I do think that we might get to see some changes on the next leg.

Default World Turning Clips

Not the best clips at all. They are short, washed out and some even start with a close up of my lovely feet.
Better than nothing I guess.

Thanks Pattie. How was the Luxor? Full house or empty seats? What time did the show start? I noticed a lot of 7pm start times this time around.

Brett was the horny one. LOL!! It was after they did Holiday Road, the barking and all...Lindsey goes "Are we more or less dignified now?" and Brett goes "Well, I'm horny."

They were so silly in Vegas...it was great. Lots of inside jokes and stuff during the intros, Lindsey laughing at people acting crazy. Vegas was great.

The Luxor was pretty full both nights...I don't remember seeing any empty seats at all. The show started around 8:15-8:20 PM both nights. Neale had a sign on the thing that holds his guitars and stuff...it said something along the lines of "We're sorry, but the bar is now closed." That was hilariously random.

Saturday night, I got to be right in front of him pretty much during the ISA solo, which was better than the first night...even though they both ruled. Heh. I hope someone recorded both shows! Friday night's crowd was WAY better than Saturday's. Everyone was pretty subdued on Saturday, even during GYOW.

I met Richard Dashut Friday night. He hugged me! I went up to him and said "I just wanted to meet you. My name is Christy. Thank you for helping them make the amazing (or was it great? Can't remember..sleep-deprived. LOL) music." and he goes "Well, thank you very much, you deserve a hug for that." or something...can't remember his words exactly. That was pretty cool.

Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh....those pictures...those clips..... *faints a little*

LOL. Vegas is an insane, surreal place on it's own...and then just being able to see that show, and that MAN, was awfully surreal for me as well, as it always is (I still have not adjusted to the fact that Lindsey freakin' Buckingham is FINALLY doing a solo tour!!!)...so yah...I'm a little shocked right now, it's like, What? What'd I do all weekend? *Where* was I???

I didn't really notice the crowd being too subdued during GYOW on Saturday, lol, although I wasn't looking behind me...the only time I did at all, once we were right down front, was during ISA, and that got a standing ovation which was of course SO well deserved. I guess maybe the group of us down front were a slight bit more reserved than say Chicago or Detroit...HAHA, Detroit was ridiculous, people were like...throwing chairs aside to get to the front, since they weren't bolted to the floor or anything...! I wouldn't say the crowd was bad at ALL though, I think honestly we pretty much had the right mix of crazy and respect.

All I can say is, I went further in that one trip than I went for all 6 of last years' shows, and it was so totally, completely, 100% worth it. And I'll never hear Second Hand News the same way again, LOL!
