Smile Song Intros That Make You Smile

Let's flip the coin to the positive
The beginning of "The Chain", "Rhiannon" and "Sara"
draw me in everytime:
What about YOU?

Heart Dreams...

OMG, when it comes on the radio or even on my CD player, I get chills...I LOVE the opening of Dreams. Rhiannon gives me chills too, that opening riff...GREAT!! I agree...again...The Chain's opening is GREATNESS!!! GDW is another great spooky opener. Um...we are only talking SN songs, right? Edge and Stand Back...love em!! Gypsy..another good one. Dang, too many great ones!! LOL

Well I wasn't being negative. I listed my favs in the other thread as well.

Just trying to have a discussion that is more than how I just love everything.

Gypsy!! I absolutely love the intro. That whole song just makes me smile. Then again, every time a Fleetwood Mac or Stevie song comes on the radio it makes me smile.

Gypsy.
I also love the Sisters of the Moon into...I'm not sure why, but it really gets me excited for the rest of the song...(SOTM is one of my very favorites.) I can't argue with The Chain, that intro is amazing.

Gypsy is a great one. I also love Talk to Me, Stand Back and The Chain. OH, and Sisters of the moon. There's just too many.

Lightbulb Just thought of some others...

If I Were You....some may HATE it because it's very 80's, but I'm an 80's freak...so I LOVE it!! I love the melody of the song!! It's my fave from Rock a Little!

Beautiful Child with the piano...SO BEAUTIFUL! Also, Seven Wonders has a cool intro!

Hmmmm, good topic...favorite intros...lemme think...

Oh Well (sorry, but it is..ok ok I'll stick to the BN lineup stuff)

Of 1975 onwards FMac:
Say You Love Me
Rhiannon
Blue Letter
Go Your Own Way
Silver Springs (original version)
Never Going Back Again
Gold Dust Woman
Sisters Of The Moon
I Know I'm Not Wrong
Eyes Of The World
Gypsy
Love In Store
Hold Me
Little Lies
Isn't It Midnight
Big Love (either version)
Love Shines

Stevie solo:
Stop Draggin' My Heart Around
Bella Donna
Edge Of Seventeen (but do they HAVE to drag it out so much live?? Jeez, it's annoying!)
Sable On Blond (great intro roll by Mick)
No Spoken Word
(I LIKE "If I Were You" a LOT, but not the intro)
(my all-time favorite Stevie solo tune) Maybe Love Will Change Your Mind
That Made Me Stronger (quickly becoming my favorite tune on TISL)
Planets Of The Universe (sounds like Rhiannon played backwards, but that's a GOOD thing!)

Well, for Stevie songs, I would have to say all her songs on Tusk, and most of the songs on TISL too... I think the latter is because none of them sound dated, whereas some of the 80's songs tend to if you're having a bad day.

Laura.

I agree with LilyRose...I love the catchy (albeit 80's) intro of If I Were You...and the cheesy-80's-Prince-like-funk of Sister Honey's intro. What would a video for that have been like ?...my mind goes crazy!

Gypsy definitely makes me smile every time! I also love the intros to Dreams, Landslide, Silver Springs, Rhiannon, Planets of the Universe and Go Your Own Way. There are others, but I didn't want to name them all!

Right on Wild Heart......SARA defintely has the best intro, which always makes me SMILE.....I wouldn't put IF I WERE YOU on my fave list for intros....but that song does rock, even though it is such cheesy 80's music.....I think thats part of why I like it so much. But besides SARA I would say the ones that make me smile are.....THE CHAIN, HAEWAFY, EDGE OF 17, and RHIANNON.
