At least snookie cookie sounds like he will keep you warm.

Denver braces for another blizzard

DENVER, Colorado (CNN) -- First Christmas weekend. Now New Year's.

Denver is bracing for another blizzard beginning Thursday, with up to two feet of snow expected -- a possible damper on New Year's weekend travel plans.

The National Weather Center issued a winter storm watch for Thursday afternoon into Friday afternoon.

Denver International Airport is prepared for the worst, a spokesman said.

"The forecasts say anything from three inches to -- that's the best case -- up to 20 inches, which is worst case," spokesman Chuck Cannon said.

"So you kind of have to deal with it as it comes, but we need to make sure everyone is prepared for the worst case, and we'll try to deal with that."

Last week, a two-day blizzard stranded thousands of people at the airport as they were trying to travel for the Christmas holiday, one of the busiest travel times of the year.

More than 3,000 incoming flights were canceled or diverted during the 45-hour shutdown in Denver, The Associated Press reported. At the peak of its closure, 4,700 travelers were marooned at the airport, according to AP, and the delays rippled across the country.

Denver International Airport fully reopened on Saturday.

Man, it's like Buffalo gave Denver the gift of snow for Christmas. We have nothing on the ground right now.

There's nothing here either. It snowed a bit last week, but it melted away by Christmas. Very very odd for this frozen tundra of a state.

Maybe Gore was right?!

I never doubted the global warming theory, but now it's scaring me more & more. Too many extremes in the weather & natural disasters over the last few years.

I will. I have to drive my nephew to the airport tonight so he can catch his flight that was cancelled a week ago.
I'm going to spend part of the afternoon chopping up the ice and slush at the end of my driveway so that it doesn't get covered and freeze over again. That will be hell.
Can you believe I still have Christmas presents floating around on a FedEx truck somewhere? And my water delivery is only a week late.
I have this candle in my office that smells like the beach and I keep burning it and imagining I'm there.

Ok I seriously felt like weeping when I heard the news of MORE snow - there is so much on the ground right now!

I just got back last night and am still in awe - two years in Rochester and I NEVER saw this much snow...it's crazy....and now more

Shoulda kept my ass in Rochester where they say they haven't seen a drop of snow since October

any amount of snow will help with the major/severe drought conditions in this state.

Aww...is that the friend who moved from Las Cruces (where it's sunny and in the 60s)?

Ugh, I'm just now reading through some of the AP Wire stuff about the weather...and it does look like tomorrow and Friday could be very ugly

Yeah. It is. Her entire move has been a disaster from day one. Everything that could have gone wrong has gone wrong. Moving van in a ditch twice. So all the stuff went into storage. Fly by night locals moved one load to her house and disappeared without getting paid. Can't get phone hooked up. I could go on.

On the bright side, her neighbors brought her baked goods, a scrabble game, a few bottles of wine, and loaned her towels and a snow shovel. So that's pretty cool.

If she hired movers from Las Cruces then that news does not surprise me one bit...seriously

Poor thing though, moves are stressful enough - but to have so much go bad...that's just hell...hope she makes it out your way NYE...they should have the airport re-opened by then...

Let me guess. The service provider is Qwest? Tell her to call Comcast and save herself a lot of headaches.
