And all these years later, I can't believe that anyone is still bothered by it.

I think it's fun to watch these conversations take various twists and turns.

There's a message board I visit (it discusses all things related to 'Phantom of the Opera') and they are MILITANT about threads staying on topic, to the point that they remove (without notice) any post that strays from the main conversation.
They also delete any thread topic that has already been discussed in the past.

It's not completely devoid of enjoyment, but it's definitely not a fun and laidback environment like it generally is here.
When people complain about the rules that we have here, I always think they should check out message boards like that 'Phantom' one to get a taste of what REALLY strict rules look like.

i don't get bothered when people go off topic. it's just that.. the topic title says BIG NEWS regarding 2007 & 2008. naturally, i get a little stoked thinking there's some relevant new info on the electric album or tour. but it's all just hear-say about something that would probably appeal more to stevie fans. or lindsey lohan fans, assuming there is at least one.

at the very least, you could title the off-topic stuff in a way that doesn't psyche people out for some actual relative discussion. i'm not saying with the whole "OT" tag or anything.. but BIG NEWS FOR 2007 & 2008 is misleading as hell, and terribly disappointing at 6:30 AM on a saturday.

and as far as getting my panties in a wad.. well, that wouldn't be your business, now, would it? i could not care less about what you people talk about.. really. but there is a chit chat forum, isn't there? you could at least respect the people who don't spend a lot of time here filtering out the chatter by not labeling "omg lindsay lohan is gonna play stevie" as big lindsey news for 2007/2008. especially when it can't be confirmed. setting us up for disappointment.. not. cool.

this whole quote makes the post totally irrelevant. you just post what you want to hear. So the messenger in this case is not a messenger but a MESSenger. lindsey already said that he wanted to tour with FM in 08, Mick also has said before that they could mix FM and LB/SN material for next tour.

There's only ONE fact:
Lindsey is VERY proud of UTS, and therefore, he postponed the next recordingsessions to tour extra for UTS and he's having a blast, while he gets tons of critical acclaim.

So stop posting rubbishnonnews. That film is just bull too. I'm sure lindsey DOESN'T want to put more oil on the FM-soapdrama-fire. It's just very unexciting, if true at all.
