Exclamation The Denver Experience.

So what is there to say. The man is awesome. Amazing. Brilliant.

It was a great show, there were a few songs in which Lindsey was sort of drowned out - but otherwise I thought it all sounded spot on - the energy was high - and all in all it was a fantastic show.

I'm not great at show details -and at this show lots happened on the outside. First - I met Christy in Denver (Wondergirl) - and we went to lunch then to scope out the venue. We met a hilarious security guy (who bore a striking resemblence to Horatio Sanz) and we chatted it up with him for a long time - then finally "the van" arrived. The dude let us stand right there close to the door - the deemed us not crazy or threatening I guess...so we got to stay close...

I was sure we'd get pics/meet and such. It was not to be. First Lindsey came around - and he was carrying all sorts of luggage and looked like he just wanted to get inside - so we let him pass. Then comes Brett and I yell out, "HI BRETT TUGGLE!!!!" He stops and says hi...and I like a moron say..."HI BRETT TUGGLE" I'm pretty sure I seemed slow at that point.

Well we didn't meet any of them and the Horatio Sanz guy couldn't even believe it...he made fun of us for a while after that - about waiting and then we didn't even ask for autographs....we're lame...but really the moment just didn't feel right.

Ok - then the show...

It rocked - more on that later as I reflect upon it....though the one thing that really stuck out was Show YOu How - I was really impressed with how that translated to stage.

Oh - and Lauren was there -she sold her ticket to a nice fellow (who talked through the whole damn show) - so there was a nice little group in the first three rows...

After the show Christy and I high-tailed it to the back = and later met Lauren back there and a couple of ladies who asked us if we were on The Ledge (they're friends of Pattie ) Anyway - then the moment came...

Out came LIndsey - he was gracious - signed our stuff - and so we got a couple of pictures of him..thanks to nice guy who talked a lot...

and

Christy had her head blocked by my big mug in this one:

Note how THRILLED Lindsey looks to be doing this

Taku pretty much said hello and walked off to the van.

Apparently Brett is from Denver - so he stuck around longer than the others - all fans had gone by the time he came out - so Christy and I had him all to ourselves.

He said, "Look at these pretty ladies..." And I said, "Look at that cute man..." lol....I love some Brett flirts...so then we took some pics...

Then Brett kissed both Christy and I And I asked him for another shot......and he locked me in a passionate embrace

That was our adventure!

Sorry --not to much on the actual show - I'll do that tomorrow when I come down a bit...and get some sleep

A couple of shots from the actual concert:

I didn't get a lot -and most of them are bad because I was afraid to use my flash...but a few turned out ok....I'll post more when I'm not in desperate need of sleep

I know - his face in the first one...we even asked him before hand if it was ok to snap his picture - he still looks like a deer caught in the headlights...cracks me up...

I should mention - he's behind gates...they put up security gates for the whole ten of us gathered outside after the show...so that's why he's more behind us

Great job with the pics...and thanks for capturing Brett. very cool there were so few waiting...that makes it best, I think. How was the venue? Christy is off for seattle, correct? I am so glad you got to see a show Deanna.

edit: same set-list?

The set-list was the same - no changes...in fact Christy knew what was coming each time...so no changes...

The venue was beautiful. It's an old theater - so the decor was just amazing - the acoustics were good - it was a nice intimate setting.

The crowd up front was pretty good - toward the end everyone stood up and danced etc - seemed like there were a lot of real fans there - the energy was really good in the crowd - or so I thought.

The concert, though over an hour seemed to last 15 minutes - it went by too fast...but that, to me, is just the sign of a really amazing show.

And yeah - I forgot - Christy said to tell everyone "HEY!" She's off to Seattle next - then Vancouver...and I'm crossing my fingers that she gets a pic of her and Linds solo at one of those...it didn't happen tonight - but we got close!

DEANNA!! OMG!! I love the review and the photos rock! That photo with you and the girls and Lindsey is so funny. Poor Lindsey looks like he is stunned or something. That photo with you and Brett is awesome!
I know my friends were there and ran into you guys. LOL My friend said that she got photos so I will have to see. If she lets me post them for her I will. What's up with the fence? I never heard of that one before.

Yep, deer in the headlights, poor man! Deanna, how cool is that? wouldnt it have been funny if you mentioned David Mn? Like: you know this BIG TALL dude who always has his pic with you? We know him. or something like that...

I bet Lindsey would remember!

that pic where he's holding his guitar and sucking in his lips, like he's biting on them or something...thats just weird.. anyway, Congrats on your adventure you lucky girl!

Deer , headlights - that's the 1st thing that crossed my mind looking at that 1st pic. Still cute, though.

That's so cool that you all had such great experiences at these shows. It's almost over though - I sure hope that he does tour next year.

hey all and Deanna!

So I met Deanna and Christy -I was sitting in the front talking to this nice girl Betsy about our tix and she asked if I was on the Ledge and I said yes and Christy yells from behind "Lauren?"! So it was fun to connect with some Ledgies finally and we had so much fun! These girls knew where to go for the meet and greet (well OUR meet and greet!)

Thanks for posting the pix Deanna- it was a blast to meet you guys! LOL at the pix of Lindsey and us - the first one - what a riot! He looks so happy to be near us huh? LOL!

I was turning my head in that first shot (I look like a moran!) to see if LB would take our pix. I guess that guy (his name was Jon that I sold the ticket to that talked a lot) came in handy with his photo skills! So excited you got the pix with Brett - now he looks happy!

Yeah the concert was great but it seemed so short. I felt like it should have been longer but it probably just went by so fast. I have to say it was wonderful and Lindsey's voice is impeccible. He seemed a little harried after the show though when we got our pix taken and got autograpsh - I did get him to put "To Lauren" on my CD though so that made me happy! All in all great show and so glad I went! Set list was the same from what I hear and I can't recall it all. I have to say I was bored with "So Afraid" at each FM show but this time he really outdid himself on that one. Just amazing. I can't get over that man's skill. I also so enjoyed "Trouble" and "Holiday Road" and "Save me a Place" cause I've never seen him do those live. Wonderful, wonderful show!!!

Lauren

Everyone had gone by the time Brett came out - me and Christy were die-hards though We refused (ok I refused) to leave until I saw Brett leave.

He didn't leave with the band - and the security lady told us he' probably leave through the front. SOoo..Christy and I walk our happy asses around to the front - the only person there was an old homeless guy.

So we walk BACK around - and I see the hair first...and we realize it's Brett - so we ran over there (before he left) and the lady first told us "stay behind the gates" But there was no one there...and Brett just excused himself from the lady, came over to us and led us to the enclosed area...ha..then he asked her if she'd take our picture

NO, I wanted to but needed to get home - said I was going to be home about 10ish and my husband was calling asking where I was - right when we were waiting to meet Lindsey- told him I was having "my groupie moment" and would call him back - LOL!
