Cool! Funny how people rarely pay heed to a critics review of it, and go buy the record. And then, when they come out with these 'top' lists that are actually right on (hey LB is on it!), people SURE as hell dont pay any mind! haha

Isn't it a little early for an official Best of 2006 list? Now Stevie's "Best Of" can't be listed.

Happy for LB, though.

Where is Jessi Colter?

These do not belong on this list, among several others that are "ehh"

WOW!

Let's be fair, this is a very unexpected listing and I'm really about this. This is not a fanlisting of some blog, but a BIG name in the european musicmagazineworld. It's just friggin' unbelievable this album is picked up on a big scale and got very good reception in the musicpress.

Welcome back Sharon!!!!

Actually, "Uncut" magazine gave UTS a brilliant review. 5 stars. I was looking through the reviews while at the coffee shop and the 5 little red stars just popped out at me...mainly because they didn't seem to have that many other glowing reviews. I completely agreed with their assessment as well...

Oh, and the Scissor Sisters' album is totally awesome fun. I highly recommend it for the dandy in anyone. I dig it.

Me too. I like the album and some of the lyrics are funny gross too. But it has ofcourse no depth like lindsey's.

Could anyone post the Uncut review?

I'll try and post it tomorrow for you Gerald, it's a very positive review.
Uncut is easily my favourite music magazine, so for them to include Lindsey is a thrill for me.

I like Lambchop and Gnarls Barkley personally, I think they both deserve to be there myself.
I have the following albums on the list, but I have to say my order would be completely different to Uncut's (also I haven't heard Bob's Modern Times yet I'm ashamed to say! ) And I find The Raconteurs and The Arctic Monkeys a bit blah so they wouldn't be on my list at all.

50) Drive By Truckers – "A Blessing And A Curse"
47) Gnarls Barkley – "St. Elsewhere"
46) Band of Horses – "Everything All Of The Time"

41) Jenny Lewis – "Rabbit Fur Coat"

Well, I've got few of them. I miss Primal Scream and M. Ward. And CERTAINLY Cracker's Greenland
I was blown away by Dylan at first listen, but after a few weeks he's starting to bore the crap out of me.

Bruce Springsteen – "We Shall Overcome"

AMAZING album. Almost as good as under the skin, not quite though.

HA! Yeah. I have little taste. I have quite the eclectic music background if I do say so. (so I've been told anyway...) I just know whats crap, and Scissor Sisters are among that elite.

Well you may have a truckload of taste, but if you can't enjoy musical humour, maybe it's wit you lack.

this list would suck if everybody liked every album on it. i don't like people bossing people around about what sucks and what doesn't.

you can't just... DECIDE. for anyone but yourself.

sheesh.
