You make a good point. Ya know, I kinda feel that way about "Smile at You." I like the new version and I love the original. But for some reason with "Planets" the thing that made that song stand out to me was the strong emotion in her voice when she sang. I mean Stevie has a lot of songs like that but that one touched me the most, that and "Silver Springs," because I can relate. I guess when I heard "Planets" on TISL it didn't hit me as hard; therefore, it wasn't a huge favorite.

Yeah, I voted for love is. I love the sentiment. Stevie hit it head on, even though I have only been the one who falls in love with people. I have never been in a relationship......

I wouldn't exactly call TISL stellar, but that's just me. It did define the summer for me a few years ago, so certain songs hold memories for me. I'll go with the title track. Every Day is a pretty close second...

Interesting poll here. I didn't vote because my fav (Too Far From Texas) isn't on the list. Apparently most people don't like it too much, but I love the story in the lyrics. As for FFG and Bombay Sapphires being stuck together: I'd like to vote for BS but not for FFG...I guess I'm just weird like that

The title track is one beautifully written song. It is definately one of my top five solo songs ever, from Stevie. "Love Is" is number two and "Fall From Grace" rounds out my top three. Least favorite track from TISL "It's Only Love" and "Too Far From Texas" (I always prefer Stevie's own lyrics) I do like "EveryDay" because of how Stevie described it, saying she could easily have written it herself and how it is about a relationship, that just goes on and on and never dies)

Yep im another TISL... i find the song dynamic. i love how it she changes tone and speed during the song. Love some of the words... just great!

Has to be Bombay Sapphires. This is a classic Stevie song (and i love the outtake version too!). It is so summery and islandy(!)
It always makes me feel like i'm lying on a tropical beach somewhere, ith an ice cold glass of Bud by my side To be able to evoke such imagery within your songs, is a very special gift to possess. Love it!
(Just to finish by saying i do love the whole album still, and think Stevie was right when she said it was her masterpiece).
