Default My Lindsey Buckingham experience

Well, Ive made it back to Minnesota and recvovered sufficiently to post my review of my weekend. Here goes.

10-20, Cleveland

I made my way to Cleveland with little difficulty and arrived at my friend Debbie's at about 9:00 AM. Needless to say I crashed and woke up at about 4:30. Debbie, er husband John and I went to a nice Italian resturant for dinner and Debbie and I got to the venue at about 7. The show was fantastic with Trouble and SMAP being highlights for me. After the show I met up with Theresa, Curtis and Paula and we decided to go to the Hardrock for aftershow merriment. When Debbie and I arrived, the rest of the guys hadnt arrived so I told Debbie lets go around the corner to the Ritz and see if anything's up. Sure enough we round the corner and there's Lindsey signing autographs for fans. We went up and I asked him if Debbie could have her picture taken with him. He obliged and I had one taken too. I was really happy for Debbie cause she'd never met him before. The whole gang had a great time at the Hardrock and It was alot of fun meeting Paula and Theresa fot the first time.

10-21, Cincinnati.

I made my way down to Cincinnati and got all checked in to my hotel and got downtown at about 5:30. I was able to snag a spot right across from the theater and park. Met Pattie standing outside at about 6:45 and we agreed to hang after the show. Once again the show was fantastic and he did Bwana which was really cool. Afterwards I met up with Pattie and we decided to go back to ehr hotel and hang out. Well we were relaxing in the lobby for about 20 min when the white van pulled up and Lindsey and the band got out. He saw us and came right over and sat down and the 3 of us chatted for about 2 min. One of the really cool things that happened is that his tour manager was standing off in the dietance and Lindsey said to him "You can go. These guys are ok." It was an incredible experience and I am totally indebted to Pattie fot it. Afterwards we hung out till about 3 AM and I treated her to her first Waffle House experience. . We really clicked as friends, what a sweet lady she is.

10-22, Detroit

I made my way up to Detroit and arrived at the venue at about 4:445 to miserably cold and rain. Of course this show was GA so we all had to hang out outside in the rain for 2 hours before the doors opened. BUt the show was again great, and I consider myself extremely lucky to have been able to experience another side of Lindsey's talent. I marvel at how at 57, he still has a great time and plays with such enthusiasm.

Sounds like you had a whirlwind of a weekend. Man, if you ever come to NYC, I wanna hang out with you. You are like a Buckingham magnet!

Come on down to Atlanta next time, too, and bring your Lindsey magnet !! Of course, I would likely pass out if I got as close to him as you have.....

I don't know who you guys are, but can I be a part of this? I have been a Lindsey fan only since The Dance, and I guess I'm a fair weather fan in that I haven't done a lot of posting lately. But you all got together and met the guy and I went back to the hotel with my miserable husband, who kept minding me that he drove me there, and ate 18 McNuggets. Tell me something about him. How tall is he? What does he smell like? I have only your pictures and my UTS CD to fuel my memories. And at the end of "Down on Rodeo', what's he saying? "Do you hear me Annie?"

David,

Sounds like you had so much fun at Lindsey's concerts. How lucky were you to meet Lindsey too!!! LOVE all the photos that fans have been sending in. I hope my hubby and I can make it to Seattle or Portland concerts.

Hey, LindseyChick. Your hubby sounds a little like mine. lol He must not be a big Fleetwood Mac fan like us.

Some songs from the GOS material are reported to refer to Anne Heche. LB stated that Come was about her, so I guess DOR is too.

It was so cool too cause he was really relaxed in Cincinnati. I have a theory that it's maybe a bit easier to meet some of these artists in smaller midwestern towns. I mean, Minneapolis, Cleveland and Cincinnati areant Mayberry, but there are fewer choices for hotels and the people in general I think are a bit more laid back.

A Lindsey magnet indeed! Congrats, David! "These guys are ok."---that's great! Sounds like you had a wonderful time.

Hey, c'mon down to the south. It doesn't get more laid back than this! Maybe some of your luck will rub off on me!

I'm so pleased for you David. You're such a devoted FM fan, you deserve to meet them all.
Maybe the band can hire you as their mascot - just call your good buddy Linds and suggest it to him
Anyway, thanks for sharing all your FM stories with me via PM.
