THAT really makes ME happy.

(but, I really think that there was some backroom bargaining done...that he'll quickly get the the "electric album", that he mentioned is in the works, ready for release in the Spring, on time, and catering to WB's wishes; if they'd let him release UTS as is).

Spot on, Steve. I'm SURE that has happened.
HMMM....we're too much agreed these times...

Steve-I think you are right on the deal. However, I think WB's has little interest in a Lindsey solo album and not so secretly hopes that the next album morphs into a Fleetwood Mac album....Lindsey first said that the album was done, and then it was 85% done, now this week he said after Christmas they will start working on the album with input from Mick and John. You have been around a long time and I am sure you know what that usually leads to...A FM album will sell a million copies a Lindsey solo album will sell 20% of that...I am sure WB would prefer the machinery suck Lindsey in again for a 12-14 song album...Of course me being me, would not mind a Lindsey, Mick, John trio album.

OK after driving around Atlanta like a crazy lady looking for Barnes and Noble I finally got the B & N 'exclusive' CD. It was right under the new releases section and it was the last one. They also had some promotional book markers and I took a few of those too.
Now I have my laptop with me and the speakers are really crappy so I can't hear the songs that well. I have to say that I really only liked one song which was "Under The Skin". To me it sounds like another song and I can't for the life of me remember the name of it.
I think another reason that I don't care for the CD is just because of some of the lyrics. I am not a man going through a mid-life crisis so I can't really relate.
Also the CD info doesn't even show up on my Windows Media player. What is up with that?

After finally getting a chance to listen to tha album I have to say I like it very much it is atmospheric and very cohesive ie. the entire album works as a whole and having come up in the era of albums that is something that always impresses me.I also agree with whomever said it was a grower ..it seems to improve upon repeated listens.Good to know someone currently in Fleetwood Mac is doing some new and creative.

Absolutely so am I. Particularly after watching "The Making of Rumours" a few years ago. Fascinated to the point of buying a whirlygig machine myself. Now I can safely say... he really is a genius, extremely artistic and uncannily creative.

Some quick thoughts on the album after listening to it for 3 plus days.

Musically I really enjoy it. It is sparse with lots of space. Subtle guitar playing, as opposed to some of the over the top stuff on Say You Will.

The songs are introspective and so far hold up well lyrically.

My problem with the album is the vocals. For me they come off as someone who is ashamed of his voice. The processing and the delays, and the whisper to almost a spoken word, really decay the quality of the songs for me. Nice pieces of music lose a lot of their muicality because of it.

I know many will see the merit in the way he approaches vocal sounds on this album. I find them to lessen what had the potential to me much better. The other concern for me. The two most complete songs were recorded 10 years ago.

Thumbs up I'll give my 2 cents...

possibly on Saturday since my copy will arrive today via UPS.

Weird, the disc will arrive while we're shopping and noone will be home but our cats. I better not come home to find the cats tinkering with my CD or there will be hell to pay.

I am on the first track "Not Too Late" and I like what I hear.

Heh, Why couldnt Lindsey's last name have started with the letter "Z", now I have to move my collection to add his disc into the alphabetical/chronological order I have my discs (Which is a pain in the ass!!!)
