Unhappy So bored..when is something going to happen?

I remember waiting and waiting for Street Angel to come out. Delay after delay.

I remember waiting for the Lindsey Buckingham album to come out... I'm still waiting.

TISL was great, but for some reason its no longer in my CD player.

What I want is new Mac music.

Its funny because I had accepted Fleetwood Mac was dead before the reunion. But then the reunion got me wondering what a new album wouldsound like..... argggggggggggg.

Its been five years and granted they didn't start to more recently but geeeeeeeeeeze...

where is the new album?

I hear ya...i was thinking about that the other day...some newer artists, like Dave Matthews and stuff, practically do an album a year..i think the Mac is used to taking a long time to work on albums though,lol...but they should realize that times have changed and to stay in the limelight you have to constantly be doing things, whether it be touring or recording, anything to get noticed....then again..maybe they figure, hell,we've been in it long enough,we'll take as much time as we want,lol..

Smile Well...

at least it hasnt taken as long as Guns N Roses have taken to finish "Chinese Democracy"...Just be thankful to not be waiting a DECADE-Plus for the new 'Mac album to arrive as us "Gunners" fans have (But at least they are touring some this summer in Japan & Europe)...lol...Brian

Well, a little longer than expected, they now say early next year, but I wonder what this Greatest Hits package is gonna be all about. They already had a Greatest Hits in 1988, and with only two studio albums since then (GASP!!!), I can't help but wonder how it's going to be different. Hopefully it will be a bunch of great live versions or something. That's coming out around Christmas, so I know one thing Santa's gonna be bringing me! Personally, I'm kind of glad that they are waiting to tour until around April because I'd prefer not to have to endure a concert in the October/November months when it's freezing. But my patience is running thin, and this could be one of many delays. Hopefully not though...we'll just have to wait and see.

When I first heard this, I was soooo disappointed. But then I got to thinking...and realized that I am just grateful that they are even making a new album, and going on tour. Especially since Mick and Lindsey have babies now. So, even though I wish it were happening sooner, I'm kinda glad...cause it will give me more time to save up money...which means MORE shows that I get to go to! And who knows, maybe the greatest hits thing will be good....maybe it'll have a few new ones on it to tide us over...

Wild Heart made a good point in another thread: Maybe this GH album Mick alluded to is a release of the blues incarnation, which would be great because the blues incarnation only had that one greatest hits album way back in 1971. A new greatest hits album from Green/Kirwan/Spencer/McVie/Fleetwood with beautifully remastered cuts is a great idea. New releases abound from that version of the group.

Which is exactly why I'm hoping that this *isn't* another Green-era compilation. I love 'em, and I own 'em... but I'd prefer this one to focus on the 1975-onward Mac.

Smile Album

Well, I suspect its Lindsey holding up the album, you know he does eat 12 boxes of wheat thins, Stevie is probably mad at him(has vision of Stevie smakcing Lindsey over the head with the rumours album for throwing up his wheat thins) you know, I just think they are taking their time,, and they have label problems too, they probably want to make this a good one since they might not make another after this one *gasp*
