I was surprised at some of the people that were included (Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera in a grouping of AGING stars??? They dont belong in this group IMO.....also some of the "before" pictures were too recent compared to the "after" pictures....

I thought Rod Stewart looked good considering....and I still lament Cat Stevens becoming a Muslim, and cutting off all his beautiful hair

I was surprised at some of the choices, I would have thought there'd be more of the 60's or 70's artists in there, but then, maybe they arent around any more

I used to think Meat Loaf and David Lee Roth looked like they were separated at birth

Cat Stevens and early Lindsey had some of the BEST hair in Rock IMO....and I confess, I actually enjoyed the 80's glam rock era in terms of style (I know, I know, most people HATED it~~) Thats ok tho, it takes all kinds right?

Barry Manilow looks untouched (and I cant see any evidence of plastic surgery )

Why wasnt Cher included in this lineup? or Lindsey for that matter?

Oh they're there...Robert Plant, Eric Clapton, Pete Townsend, The Beatles (two of them anyway), Grace Slick, FM, David Bowie, Jimmy Page, David Crosby, Elton John, Billy Joel, Elvis Costello, Patty Smith, Meatloaf, Rod Stewart, Linda Ronstadt, Chrissie Hynde, Bonnie Raitt, the Eagles, Van Halen, even Dolly Parton...but for some bizarre reason (as Sparky pointed out) they used photos from the 80's and 90's for their before photos. WTF?

Stevie is #123 and 124 - they didn't get the before year right either, it says 1978 instead of 1987.

Some of the other photos are downright scary.
The "after" photo of Stevie just reinforces my view that she looks FABULOUS for not only a woman her age, but for a woman who has put herself through the wringer and was substance abuser for the better part of her life. Wow. She is gorgeous. And yeah, that first photo was not from 1978, but I'm sure that's already been discussed at length.

What the hell happened to Adam Ant? He looks like someone's grandfather! He can't be THAT old can he?!

And with ALL of the solo pics of Stevie out there they chose one of FM and just captioned it "Stevie Nicks"? WTF. I love the pic of her with the doggie though, that is so adorable!

info from Billboard.com:

Born: November, 03, 1954

"One of the seminal figures of new wave, Adam Ant (born Stuart Leslie Goddard) had several distinct phases to his career. Initially, he explored a jagged, guitar-oriented post-punk with his group Adam and the Ants before giving way to a more pop-oriented, glam-tinged musical direction that brought him to the top of the charts. After that had run its course, he refashioned himself as a mainstream singer, which enabled him to stretch his career out for a couple of years. Once it seemed that his musical career had evaporated, he made an unexpected comeback in the early '90s as an adult alternative artist."

Wow, born in 1954...wouldn't have guessed THAT!

Thanks for posting that EVH interview earlier. That guy is a total douchebag, albeit one of the best guitar player douchebags ever to have graced a stage. That makes me sick to think about, but whatever. I think EVH is on the edge of total emotional and physical collapse. He has totally self-destructed. I wonder what kind of cancer treatment he had. He makes it sound like he went to a witch-doctor or something. Probably did.

we could have used more Mowtown artists or folk singers...Where's Joni Mitchell? Joan Baez? I saw all those you mentioned but really, I just felt they could have had a better representation and Sparky wasnt the only one to point out the weirdness of the before photos....

I thought Rod looked great for being 60ish. Patti Sith Ughh!!. Linda Ronstandt looked horrid. The Eagles memebers looked pretty good for approaching 60+. As for FM I have always found that Mick and John have really aged. I hated the pictures of them used on the cover for the SYW Tour program, as it totally makes them look really old. Manilow looked alright and Dolly looks ok. All in all some good ones but more time should have been taken for some of the before and after photos. As well where was Tina Turner or Cher for that matter?

Still fun to look at though.

Matt

I'd still do Robert Plant, now, tomorrow and yesterday. Gives me chills!!!
I agree that Stevie has aged the best. You'd think after everything she's been through she should look close to what Patti Smith looks like. Ok, well maybe not that bad. MAKEOVER!!!
She's timeless, ageless and a true lady.

Stevie looks great for her age. She will always be beautiful. Poor Eddie Van Halen has changed so much! Hope he is doing okay. Grace Slick looks so much like my husband's older sister then and now. Scary. lol Barry Manilow, Sting, Jon Bon Jovi look great!!!
