oh yeah, i'm jealous of your gym.

I am too - or maybe I'm a bitch too

I wish I could afford my own elliptical too - but I'm po' and now have access to the little gym at my apartment Of course -that's not free of crap - yesterday I went and there was a woman there watching a Mexican Soap Opera LOUDLY. Pissed me off - yeah...maybe I'm a bitch - I'm leaning that way

Oh - and I've had so many offers for a gym buddy - no no no. I always manage to get out of it - I can not work out with someone else. So yeah, when a friend enthusiastically proclaims, "OH WE SHOULD WORK OUT TOGETHER..." I pretty much shoot that down right away. Just no.

I bet if you actually talked to these people they would be supportive of you for getting out and trying to do something good for yourself.

I think you are being to over sensitive

Most people are too obsessed with themselves to be worried about you at the gym...lol.

Guys who have sex at they gym are skankomatic. Blech. It's so Weho and so 70's. I don't even look at people at the gym. I just do my thing and get the hell out. I don't even shower there anymore. I just drag my sweaty ass to the pickup and drive home.

i swear to god, i do not know what society expects from people. if you are fat and sedentary, you are a moron for not doing anything about your size. if you are fat and at the gym, you are a moron because don't you know the gym is not where you belong? shouldn't you be shoving a pie down your throat or something?

i dunno. perhaps i am oversensitive, but i don't think everybody gets stared at at the gym the same way i have been lately ... and i don't think they're checking me out. like, this dude was staring at me yesterday when i was on the elliptical. yes, i'm fat, but i can do the elliptical! jebus. i am just sick of rude people. i don't stare at people at the gym unless they're hot and can't see me.

i dunno, whatever. i'm just irritated and incoherent.

That is so rude, I can't believe it. I love seeing overweight people exercise. Maybe that is why he was staring, too? Because he was so happy to see you exercising?

Also: "workout buddy"? How can you listen to music, then? I actually can't work out without music, it is physically impossible. At least for cardio.
In all my times at gyms, I never really talked to anyone. Or wore makeup on purpose.

it is rude! i'm glad you're not jumping on the "she's overreacting" bandwagon, because i'm not making it up! there's a difference between being oversensitive and living in a fantasy world ...

anyway, workout buddy. yeah, terrible idea. she started going with me because she didn't know how to use the machines and didn't want to start going on her own, but then it became an everyday thing and i broke it off. i can't do cardio without music ... i tried it once when i went with her. it was hell. when i'm doing weights i can go w/o music b/c i go more quickly without it.
