Default Hair Proof

It's been said that mature women should not have long hair.
Stevie is a mature woman.
Stevie has long hair.
Thusly, Stevie should cut her hair.

Agree or disagree?

(yes, I'm bored)

I don't think this applies to celebrities.

Who said that in the first place?
Some women look great at any age with shorter hair and others look better with long hair. They should just wear it however the hell they want.

Men on the other hand should keep it cropped short thus avoiding the need of girly hair products.

What if the man happens to like girly hair products?

I disagree. I think the female artists that have had a particular look associated with them for years would do more harm then good changing their signature look. That long golden hair has been a signature Stevie thing for a long time now. It would be wierd to see her without it. Plus, the twirls would never be the same.

I've actually thought about this before

I mean when she gets OLD..I mean old...her hair won't look so good long. I mean really - how many elderly do you see with long hair? And when you do - it generally doesn't look so good

BUT I can't picture Stevie with a Blanche Devereaux cut either...so I don't know....

She'll probably have to cut it eventually. Cher is one of the only exceptions to the old lady long hair rule, and considering the mannequin face she has created, she kind of gets away with it. She's not a normal person. I think in 5 or 6 years, Stevie is going to look much older than she does now, and the long hair is going to look a little silly. If a woman has any of the telltale aging signs - jowls, turkey neck, etc, the long hair really accentuates them. But, who knows ? Her look has always defied convention anyway. And she may get some more work done. It'll be interesting to see.

This kind of gives you an idea of what Stevie short hair might look like. Of course, in this picture, her hair is tucked into the coat.

Maybe MacMan can grace us with a Photoshop example

There are a whole bunch of really old ladies that have long hair - they just keep it in a bun or do really big hairdos or braids. Stevie's more likely to be one of those types of ladies than cave in to the pressure of those who insist she cut her hair. Seriously, one bad short hair cut and BOOM - it's dyke city.
