Default Ok, Sharon's Review of Divas

HA! I thought the show was hoot!

Stevie was at her best during the Elvis finale! She looked real good, and even I, the main complainer about the same old dress, have to say it really looked nice during the finale with the little jacket, and it fit what all the others were wearing. I was wooried she wouldn't fit in, but she seemed to belong there.

Now my pick for WORST performance -

Mary J. and Shakira on Love is a Battlefield. What a hatchet murder they did on that! Shakira kept flailing her hair around like she was in the bathroom with a blow dryer. One word for that girl, OBNOXIOUS! Poor Pat is probably falling on the floor laughing her ass off or crying her eyes out, one or ta other!

Now, BEST perforamnce, I'm sorry I got to give it Cyndi Lauper!
She was teriffic! Cute as ever, and sounded like, well, like Cyndi.
Loved her top, and when she fell on her knees beside Cher, it was just splendid. She rocked.

Worst outfit, sorry, but Natalie during the Elvis tribute - really bad.

Best outfit - I LOVED Whitney's black fishnet thing she had on with Mary J. Very unusual!

Landslide, just my OP, but it ain't worth it to me without my blue-eyed baby, so I'll just leave it at that!

Overall, not as excrutiating as a root canal, but not as sublime as a Buckingham Nicks Concert.

Another thing I'm not even going to GO THERE with is Cher in Elvis drag.

Lastly, six degrees of Stevie - What do Ellen and Stevie have a connection with? Well, Ellen+Anne+Lindsey=(Anne-Lindsey)
then square rooted and mutiplied by Stevie+Lindsey=perfection!

OK, what are your picks for best and worst?

Cool Here goes nuttin...

Even tho she sounded great, I did not like the Whitney fish net dress. Sorry. LOL I did LOVE Celine's white dress, very classy and nice. LOVED Stevie singing Elvis!!!!!!!! GREATNESS, and great song to sing too! Landslide sucked because her mike went out AND you couldn't really hear her. Don't even GET ME STARTED on Natalie Maines' outfits....ANYWAYS...Anastacia, can't sing a note, but AWESOME NAME!! Shakira, don't care for her either, PAT BENETAR SHOULD HAVE SANG HER OWN SONG!!!! DOH!!! If they can have the Dixie Chicks, next year, it had BETTER BE DOLLY PARTON ON DIVAS!!! It's 1AM, I need sleep, will check back with ya'll later on the Divas thing. Night.

I think the stand-outs were Cher, Cyndi & Stevie (of course). Celine trying to rock at the beginning was a hoot, as if she could.

I agree about the Love is Battlefield song. Yeah, they really messed that song up.

I would have liked to have heard Stevie do a song by herself, a little longer song than the Elvis one. I like Cher, but I felt she hogged the time up. Stevie could have done a song in there.

Stevie looked great. She looked really happy, too.

And yes, no one can do Landslide justice but Stevie & Lindsay!

This morning on Good Morning America they had a few behind the scenes and asked Stevie who her dress was by!
She looked a little confused and then told the names! She was like huh, am I on the red carpet or what!!

Oh shoot!

I wish I had seen it!

Stevie is definitely not a designer's horse, that's for sure, but she might be surprised at who would love to dress her. I think there are many who could really do her justice and still keep her style. She's just scared to change and doesn't trust anyone else but Margi Kent.

I also don't think it is really a big deal to her, anyway.

thanks for sharing that, Lisa.
Anything else?

I don't know if people know this but I've been watching the Diva's show since the beginning...and several times when someone is a guest one year (vice versa is also true look at Whitney Houston), the next year they get a TOP Billing so don't be surprised if Stevie is a headliner at next years Divas especially if the new FM album is out and a hit.

I've always thought VH1 should do a ROCK N ROLL Diva show...

That's good to know!

I only hope she isn't on with big mama ARETHA or Mariah. They'll be due back next year!

Although, standing next to Aretha would make Stevie look plum waifish.

Standing next to Natalie last night sorta had the same effect!

Seriously, I hope that is true. It would be nice for her to featured more prominently, and certainly anything to sell more FM CD's!

WOW...now I can see how you do Landslide with a bunch of girls and no Lindsey (although I'd still have loved to have seen him pop out of the shadows!)...excellent.To all those who thought Anastasia couldn't sing, sorry, I disagree, she was really good in my op. As for that Shakira...what a waste of space, she definately couldn't sing coz she dosn't know any English!! Stevie was great and showed what a REAL diva can do, just getting on with it and enjoying herself and not getting in your face. Great show.
