But please PLEASE for the love of all that is Holy on Earth & above us, please follow the rules of the road on your way there. Use proper hand signaling, watch your speed, avoid sidewalks or other pedestrian right-of-ways, wear the proper footwear & keep a thermometer/barometer with you at all times in order to ascertain precipitous changes in air pressure & temp.

Well if you're going to take all of the fun out of it....

Kidding.

Actually here a lot of the bike trail ARE the sidewalks...it confused me - I was seeing all the "bike route" signs but no bike routes...then I realized the sidewalks are really wide...not at all what I'm used to.

Anyway _ I'm a staunch follower of road rules while on a bike - mostly because I HATE when bicyclists don't and then I nearly hit them - or they cause issues on the road.

Thought I'd post this here, since it seems to be the most health focused of the 15 food threads.

http://www.cookinglight.com/cooking/...216596,00.html

Makes sense, since K+ and Na+ keep each other in check in your body - more of one will decrease the other. Obviously, you want less sodium. So for those of you who are overweight and/or have high blood pressure, this is very important.

BTW - they've changed the guidelines for blood pressure. 120/80 or lower is normal (well, obviously something really low isn't normal, but you get my drift.) If you're between 122/82 and 138/88 you're no longer the high end of normal - you're prehypertensive (in other words, you're on the brink of high blood pressure.) Anything higher than 140/90 is officially hypertension.

There are some really good recipes in the article too. I can hardly wait to try the maple bourbon salmon & spicy squash stew.

You may want to try the WW Core plan. I lost maybe 15 lbs doing it and didn't really feel that deprived. I am someone who HATES to be hungry, so I loved that I could eat as much as I wanted of the Core foods, which include good foods that I enjoy. I'm off it now and trying to figure out how to maintain the loss, but still try to eat Core whenever I can.
I think it will work for people who, like me, have trouble with portion control and don't like to count points. If I start eating an oreo, I have to have six, so it's better that I don't even think about having them in my house.
This site has some good recipes if anyone wants creative meal ideas.

Good luck.

Oh Thanks! That looks more like what I did around 10 years ago when I did WW...then they switched to the points, I got overwhelmed and confused and quit...then went to college..and well now I'm back to square 1.

Thanks for the link...!
