On the side under the URL is Embed. You just copy and paste that onto your post

I have enjoyed them for years. They make smart, off-kilter pop.

I just watched their cover of Bohemian Rhapsody, up on youtube, earlier today. They're opening for Tom Petty at ACL. I'm looking forward to it!

Really? That is so cool - you Americans are so lucky, you get to see all the famous band/groups all the time - in New Zealand we only get to see them if they are kind enough to stop by for a show or two

Livia · #24 08-13-2006, 10:51 PM

Here ya go!

I would really love to go to one of these Petty/Nicks shows, but alas, I instead have to live in paradise

I have only just been introduced to them, and already the album "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots" has become one of my all time favourite albums!

I'm a little late to this thread... but I LOVE the Flaming Lips! Like everyone else said, you have to get "Soft Bulletin" next. I saw them with Beck (another fav. of mine) a few years ago... great show!

The only way I've known about them is that theyre always right next to Fleetwood Mac on the cd racks.

Wow, really? I must admit I can't imagine you listening to tracks of theirs like Psychiatric Explorations Of The Fetus With Needles, but that's cool. I am duly impressed

I wish I could have gone to the Petty/Nicks shows too, esp when Eddie Vedder made a guest appearance on stage. That would be one of my dream gigs. Come to England Michael and we can go see The Flaming Lips. They're playing London in November, it'll be great

What a rip-off of the video of Bob Dylan's "Subterranean Homesick Blues".

Steve are you taking the piss?

It's meant to be a joke. Of course it's a "rip off" Subterranean Homesick Blues, a hugely famous and influential video. That is the whole point. Don't you understand a homage when you see one?
