On my way to lunch, I was thinking - it sounds like Nickelback, no wonder I hate it. Thanks for confirming it for me!

And I just heard "Sunglasses at Night" - dumb, dumb, dumb! Normally, I like listening to Bob Radio, but they've been playing some crap lately. I just put Joss Stone in the CD player. I love her.

No wonder you've been hearing that dreadful Nickleback song so much! All they play is that song and stupid mo'fo'ing James Blunt. It's 93.7 KLBJ for me all the way now. Screw Bob! .

I hate Tom Sawyer! But I hate Rush in general.

My boyfriend's best friend is the world's biggest prog rock fan. I have to literally stick my fist in my mouth sometimes to not mouth off on Rush.

I hate YOU MAKE LOVING FUN.

OMG ! I heard this in Trader Joe's the other night and it was blaring. Blaringly loud. I love how Corey Hart is just wailing out at the end "I cry to you now, I Wear My Sunglasses at Night !" Like it's a really gut wrenching thing. Classic.
He was a hunky little dude though.

I SAW HIM IN CONCERT ONCE.

Front row.

Hall of shame.

And he sang to you and only you when he exclaimed "I CRY TO YOU NOW!" at the show right?

Hilarious!

I used to hate it too but I've since come around to it and really like it now. If we're getting into Fleetwood Mac songs that inspire disgust I'd go with Don't Stop, but that's probably a given.

I can't believe you hate Rush. I mean, I get that you don't like prog, but I think they're a great band apart from the prog label. Working Man is a kick ass song, it's probably in my top 20 favorite songs of all time .

I'm with everyone on the James Blunt hate. Also, that "Had A Bad Day" song. Who's that by? Daniel Powter? He can suck it. "My Humps" by the Black Eyed Peas, and anything by Justin Timberlake, Kelly Clarkson, or Beyonce.

Actually his encore was "Can't Help Falling In Love". Which I hoped he was singing directly to me. Of course, the 3000 screaming teenage girls around me were hoping the same thing. I was. So. Gay. Standing there staring at him. I am sure I was panting.

I'll never forget it. I took my neighbor, my best friends little sister. I was 21 and she was 17. It was her first concert. It was in winter, there was an ice storm, and we took the BUS ! We still laugh about it to this day. I wore a Motels t-shirt, as I had just seen them weeks before. We froze our asses off.
I am sure I still have the ticket stub somewhere.

The only time Rush is acceptable to me is when watching Freaks and Geeks:

HEE. I love it.

I've just never liked them. I think it might be a hatred that started early, when my mom used to make me invite a girl from school over to play- I didn't like her, she smelled, and everyone teased me for being friends with her. She loved Rush and would play Tom Sawyer on her tape over and over and over and over.

My problem with You Make Loving Fun is the use of the word "woo" I pretty much HATE that word and don't think it has a place in songs that should otherwise please me.

Woo...*shudder*

Omg, I love the Motels! The chick that sang for them has a great voice. I can never remember her name it's like Martha something or other.

Yeah, Corey Hart, I have to admit I had a bit of a crush on him too except I was like 11 at the time. I also remember thinking "Sunglasses at Night" was a very dramatic song , oh the pathos!

I hate Don't Stop so much, not just because it sucks- but because its existence is one of the main reasons I feel like I have to JUSTIFY my love for the Mac to people. If not for Don't Stop, I think people would be like- yeah, cool.
